We stayed at Bayards Cove Inn for our anniversary and had a fantastic time. The staff looked after us brilliantly and gave us recommendations of fun places to go out on a Friday night, as well as going out of their way to help us fix a flat tire. Couldn't recommend the place strongly enough.

We love this place. We had a lovely lunch sat at the table in the window. Good food and great service - a really lovely welcome.

We celebrated our first year anniversary in Dartmouth and my hubby booked Bayards cove inn. Everything was perfect, room is cozy ,clean. and tidy. The arrangement is beautiful, we was given an organic processco and fresh flowers. The food is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. Is a great location too. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.

Utterly stunning & oh so comfortable Inn! Everything was beyond perfect, from the wibbly wobbly Tudor building, to the decor, the homely feel, amazing food & extremely helpful kind staff. Will definitely be a repeat customer �� #NewExerciseRoadshow

This place is just fabulous!!

We ate here a few times during our honeymoon in September and the food, drinks and staff were just lovely.

One of the best steaks I’ve had, my husband had an amazing burger and the calamari starter...wow!!! The freshest we have ever tasted!

Lovely, cosy interior. We started our evening in the oversized, comfy sofas in the window with a glass of prosecco and then were shown to our table and enjoyed our delicious food with a lovely bottle of red.

We have also stopped by in the day for coffee and cake...delicious! And a great range of gluten free cakes and dishes.

We will definitely be back....in fact we are coming to Dartmouth in November for my birthday and have booked a table for The Bayards Cove Inn for dinner...we cannot wait to be back!!

Popped in for dinner last night, food and drink was fab, staff were super friendly and the atmosphere/decor is gorgeous.

Have also had breakfast here numerous times, absolutely delicious too!

One of the nicest places for coffee, food and a stay!! Currently staying, with my hubby and 1yr old, in the Drake suite which is very quirky and comfortable. The staff are out of this world. Sooooo friendly and helpful and absolutely wonderful with our daughter. The food is lovely and the atmosphere relaxed and cosy. Love it here and will defo be back!

Now I really liked the place. Friendly staff, good seat in the window pleasant atmosphere. I had the mini steak burger, fries and salad. The burger was very good, salad fair, nice fries, terrific coleslaw. However why spoil good food by serving it on a piece of paper on top of a piece of wood!

Great food great service lush cocktails great location. We have been for coffee breakfast and evening meal at different times throughout this year excellent quality food and drinks. X

For a relaxed beverage and snack this establishment can not be beaten. It is also Licenced with a good selection of Beer, Lager, Cider and soft drinks.

When I say Sack I mean a substantial meal from Sup of the day to a TeaCake,, I have left this establishment 'full to bursting' on many occasions.

Charming setting with a cosy atmosphere. Always a warm and genuinely friendly welcome. Excellent drink and menu choices.

I had a delightful birthday dinner with 18 dining and other friends joined our party for drinks and music. Although the staff were extremely busy that evening, with full table bookings and hotel guests checking in... they did their best to look after our party with care and efficiency. Our meals were excellent. Credit to the kitchen team members. Thank you Charlie and your great team for making my birthday gathering a special evening.

Bayards Cove Inn. A stones throw from the lower ferry, literally! Staff are absolutely superb and deserve a medal for their level of welcoming, service and care. Our thanks goes to them; Josh, Amy, James and the chefs. Oh, and they know all about gluten free too.

After two nights at the Bayard Cove Inn I have been blown away by the exceptional location, service, facilities in rooms, breakfast, attention to detail and consideration to me and my four legged sidekick whilst on my short stay. I shall leave knowing I shall return and not hesitating to recommend this fabulous Dartmouth doggy friendly Inn to all.

We came across this place by chance , had Tea & carrot cake (the best).

Later that evening we decided to return for a meal, food was great , service warm and friendly and after the meal we sat in front of the log burner on the sofa.

The place was clean and well kept , would recommend.

Was a very wet and windy day. Needed somewhere to get warm and dry that allowed our mucky dog in. Came across this place by chance. Very friendly staff. Had a very nice cream tea. And they allow dogs. We recommend it.

It was a beautifully sunny but icy cold day in early December, my wife and I were taking in the scenic splendour of delightful Dartmouth when I noticed a menu board that said smoked haddock and bacon chowder, that was it, perfect luncheon solution!

In we went to be cheerfully greeted by the guy behind the bar, he told us to find a table to our liking, then order at the bar when ready. Looking around I realised we had stumbled into a very quaint cafe/bar.

We ordered 2 chowders with sour dough bread and 2 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, service was slick and cheerful, but better than that, the chowder was amazing! I don't say this lightly, my wife and I are well travelled, and have enjoyed great food, however we both said that this was amongst the best chowder we have had. Now some people would say £13 plus for a bowl of chowder is a tad expensive, so that is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5, but I would still wholeheartedly recommend Bayards Cove Inn.

Very Disappointed. Ordered a Blue Cheese Burger as per menu. Received burger with cheese slice on. Mentioned to waitress who said she would bring out some blue cheese for me. Then she returned to say she would take the burger away so she could melt the cheese to the burger. Thinking she was going to carry the burger with her bear hands I gave her the whole board. On return the burger was cold. I would expect a fresh burger at £14. Not the old cold burger returned. Not a happy customer and I would not recommend. Onwards to McDonald's for a better service and hot burger. Shocking service and poor apology.
