Baytree Garden Centre

Nice independent garden centre which has expanded over the years to sell a good variety of items. Lunch was excellent.

What a waste of time driving from Kettering to find somewhere dull and dreary,a mismatch of buildings which look very run down and looks like it needs a good sweep up and tidy.
Would not go there again.

Large garden centre with a good range of varied products. Not the cheapest but you may find products unavailable anywhere else in the locality. Worth a visit.

Very nice, probably the best Garden centre we've visited. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and spacious. Many unusual ideas for your garden and much inspired. Plenty to look at. Children and disabled friendly.

Went to get some herbs to replace mine that are all bolted. Found selection in a worse state than my own asked for a reduction on a very past it's best parsley. To be told no we can spruce that up and still sell it. Can I suggest a member of staff is sent to the herb garden water and " spruce" it up to make the plants fit for sale !

Really good garden centre with very good parking, everything garden wise is well priced, nice little cafe.

Went to see santa and the winter wonderland , gave up after 40 min's in a short queue when we realised we would be there for another hour and that was on a Thursday night , went to Springfield no queues and it was lovely

We have visited Baytree Garden Centre for many years, there is so much to look at, we always enjoy our visits. But not so much this time.....It's wonderful that it accepts dogs and on our previous visits we have eaten in the small café within the main store, and up until recently this little restaurant had a couple of tables just outside the main area where you could sit with your dog. On our most recent visit at the end of June, we had taken our friends with us, they have a tiny little dog that was being carried in a pouch. We made our way to the café only to find that dogs are no longer allowed in this area. It was raining so we could not eat outside at the other larger restaurant either. We were told we could walk round the back of the other restaurant and enter through another entrance to an area where we could sit and eat with our dogs. We really were in need of a drink and that is the only reason we sat in this part of the restaurant, the décor was extremely dated and nothing like the café in the other building. All the chairs were stained and marked, there was a stale smell in the air too. It felt like we had been banished to the outer reaches of the garden centre. It's such a shame that this restaurant has not been updated and we will not be using it again for this reason. Just because someone has a dog does not mean they have lower standards than everyone else. We would have spent around £60 on the four of us in the café but as it was we spent about £10 between us in the restaurant as we had no wish to stay any longer than we needed to.

Visited for the first time in decades. Had lunch in the cafe. We both had a 'pulled pork' panini. At around £7 this was not cheap. Where was the pulled pork? The filling was just a paste with no real meat. No texture of pork at all. If you looked closely it appeared to contain fibres but you could not detect these when eating it. It probably contravenes the Trades Descrtion Act as it was NOT as described and I have a mind to report it. Utterly disgraceful. Will not be coming back. Everything else was ridiculously expensive too. Ghastly place.
