*About us*
Baytrees is an NHS recovery focused treatment centre offering detoxification (detox) to people whose lives are being adversely affected by their substance use.
As a Solent NHS Trust service, the centre is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and delivers excellent, high-quality care. It is set in the tranquil grounds of St James' Hospital, in the Milton area of Portsmouth on the South Coast. Baytrees has 23 individual bedrooms, including a ground floor suite for accessibility purposes.
Our team of experienced staff has a wealth of skills and knowledge in substance misuse services, and our trained mental health nurses provide us with the opportunity to specialise in dual diagnosis.
We work with individuals, and their families and carers, from diverse communities. We also work in partnership with other services and agencies, located around the country, to support individuals to build on their recovery capital and progress towards sustained recovery.
*What do we offer?*
We offer residential and daily detoxification services.
The length of stay we offer is dependent on an assessment of the individual's needs. Our person-centred approach ensures everyone is treated individually. Individual assessment will assess:
- Physical and psychological wellbeing
- Nutritional status
- Family and living (social) situation
- Mobility
Our programmes are offered to male and female service users over 18 years of age, including to those with complex needs. Our highly skilled, multi-disciplinary staff can also support those with long term conditions.
We offer detox for:
- Alcohol
- Opiates
- Prescription /OTC medication
- Benzodiazepines
- New Psychoactive Substances (NPS /Legal Highs)
- Methadone /subutex /suboxone stabilisation
- Bespoke detox programmes
