What genius come up with carrot cake in the cheese cake sounds weird tastes amazing lovely salt and vinegar squid too compliments to the chef Never had a bad meal here unlike most places that can be hit and miss in the area

We ate at the grill on Thursday night, our last night in Saunton. �

We had the gin cocktail of the specials which was fab. Then we both had the small surf and turf with lobster tails which was delicious and excellent value. We both had the banoffee cheesecake for dessert - again delicious!!! Well definitely be back when we are next at Saunton.



Highly recommended and dogs are welcome on the outside balcony.

Today had a late lunch and enjoyed one of the best T-bone steaks ever! Absolutely fabulous.



Good steaks are very hard to find in England and this one was perfect.



I like mine cooked blue (extremely rare) and it was cooked to perfection along with the chips and salad, washed down with a nice pint of lager.



Great views overlooking the sea too.

Set on one of the most beautiful coast lines I've had the pleasure of visiting is this little hidden gem. We ate there on our arrival and ate there on our last night. The food was awesome on both occasions and the summer fruit gin cocktail was to die for.. the service was second to none. Great value for money.

Just had a lovely lunch here with garlic prawns to die for and salad and fries

Great service - very helpful and went the extra mile to find out where mussels came from for nearby table, delicious food and amazing view overlooking the beach - made all the better for the sun shining on first day of Spring! Definitely will be back - maybe for an evening meal - noticed blankets at the ready for when the evening turns cooler. Lots of attention to detail.

Fantastic location with spectacular views! Visiting Beachside Grill after an afternoon at Saunton was a great way to end a lovely weekend. The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient as we took our time choosing from the delicious menu. Was very excited pleased to hear they also offered soya milk for hot drinks.



The food was very tasty, presented well and a decent portion. Looking over the beach as the sunset was breathtaking and blankets were available for people to take the opportunity to sit outside to watch the sun go down whilst staying warm.



We would definitely return and I would like to thank you for such a good experience on the coast!

Apart form the fact it is located in possibly my favourite spot in the U.K. This modern bar and grill exceeds all expectations. I've been coming to the area for about seven years and the service and food has just got better and better. Also the portion sizes are pretty serious so arrive hungry �

Amazing food, friendly and helpful staff and beautiful views!! One of my favourite places to eat. Brisket on chips are the best.

We call in yesterday for a snack lunch. What we had was very good. And staff were friendly. Would visit again if we are that way.

Very nice food, good service, bit pricey. Caught between posh restaurant and seaside cafe. Toilets were bit of a mess at night, don't think we would rush back.

Food was great! We had bsg fries which was a big starter and baked Camembert followed by lobster and a small surf & turf which was delicious and not really small! We had our coffees on the balcony. A lovely evening my only negatives would be that it took a while for the drinks to arrive when we first got there and the tables need cleaning better as ours was sticky! That said we will definitely visit again

Our rating would be 5 for the amazing location & food but the unfriendly waitresses pulled our rating down. Popped in for drinks on balcony and asked about eating. Were told very bluntly they don't take 'walk ins' rather than telling us how to book and it was empty inside. Booked online and returned following evening. Non of the waitresses were particularly friendly or welcoming and table was very sticky. Shame because it's such a lovely place.

We live locally and went with a friend to have a glass of wine whilst our partners were out surfing. We had a large glass of Rosé each and sat on the outside terrace. We were shocked when we went to pay the bill and it was £16.80 so £8.40 a glass which we feel is extortionate, we thought it would be £6.50 max each. Wouldn't mind if it came with a few peanuts or olives!! Won't be returning !!

We are two adults and two well behaved dogs. I turned up to be told they were fully booked(fair enough) so tried to book for another day. They don’t take booking for outside tables we just had to turn up...which we did and they were booked? How do you know you are fully booked if you don’t take bookings for outside tables? It’s a no win situation for us �Dislike of dogs more like. Strange for a place that sits on a dog friendly beach! We never got to eat there so that’s my review!

Very expensive, great food, poor service!

If you want to charge premium prices for good food then your service should match, invest in staff training. It's unacceptable to have to chase staff for drinks, menus and progress on your food when there are ten empty tables and it still takes 45 mins for a very expensive burger!

A real shame your service doesn't match the food and surroundings!
