Lynemouth power station almost complete

BeamEx are pleased to be working with emtec on Lynemouth mouth power station converting from coal to biomass. BeamEx are aiding with the design and install of the electrical installation for the fuel unloading and transfer through to the mill feed section of the power station, a complex install which includes 15 motor control centres (MCC's) with over 800 controls.

BeamEx Electrical has recently completed Leam Lane Social Club's Lighting upgrade. Changing over 200 old fluorescent fittings,26w 2D's and low voltage 35W down light fittings to equivalent LED's; reducing the lighting load from 12.9KW to 3.8KW. This load will be reduced further as areas that were ordinarily left switched on all day such as toilets, stock cupboards and plant rooms are now all controlled by sensors. Some of the areas used most will recuperate costs in 1 - 2 years and the total cost of the project expected to be returned in under 5 years. This is not taking in to consideration the costs that would have been incurred maintaining the old fittings.
