Mother's Day, the Beatons Way...
Being a mother is a job like no other job in the world; a job where it never ends and where motivation is fueled purely by unconditional love and not reward. People say you’ll never be able to describe the feeling of being a parent until you are one, and that no matter how many books you’ve read and how prepared you think you are, this is a role that you will be forever learning from...

Have you seen our January Book of The Month: 'If You Can Walk, You Can Dance' by local author Marion Molteno in our tearoom?
If you like biography you will probably warm to this novel because its characters feel so absolutely ‘real’. It weaves a complex multi-layered melody over the course of three ‘books’ within one. Set initially in in Africa it moves across frontiers with key protagonist, Jennie as she’s uprooted from her home and family caught in the midst of political turmoil. She eventually lands in London and finds herself in a women’s commune...

January's Tea of The Month: Matcha Genmaicha
Matcha Genmaicha is called 'popcorn tea' because of the popped toasted brown rice that gives it a distinctively nutty and natural sweetness.
It's a great tea to help us with all the post-Christmas health promises that we made for ourselves, as it's made up of high-grade Japanese Sencha leaves; which provide not only a great flavour but are also great for our health!
... Perfect for those participating in Dry-January!

Z is for Xeric…
I admit it doesn’t start with a ‘Z’ but it sounds as if it does. And it’s a word which we might have used for much of the summer: xeric...

We both had an excellent Ploughmans - a new addition to the menu I believe - the slice of pork pie was scrummy! Will definitely have another one on our next visit!

Visiting from Plano, Texas, USA. Monsieur was delightful. The Italian sodas were refreshingly fruity. The vanilla shake that my friend ordered looked so amazing that I had to go back an hour later and order one for myself. And, it was super wonderful. We tried the carrot cake. Although the texture was bigger than I expected, it was moist and delicious. Atmosphere was quaint, relaxing and comfortable. Definitely a recommended stop if you're visiting Tisbury.

Very good tearoom with style and elegance

Travelled for an hour just to try this tearoom / bookshop!

It does not disappoint, my wife and I had the tomato and basil soup with bread and butter hot and delicious!

We checked out the books whilst waiting for the soup, a wall full to select from!

The decor is smart but relaxing, and the staff very obliging.

Try the house soda very refreshing!
