Getting Started With Beats Workin
Beats Workin is a professional drum tuition provider catering for all levels of drummers.
We are registered with Vic Firth as Private Drum Teachers and keep up to date with
modern teaching methods so whether you are a complete beginner and have never picked
up a pair of sticks or you are wanting to get through your Rock School Grades or beyond
we can help. We cover every aspect of drumming from beginning to play the drums,
buying a drum kit, tuning your drums to get the sound you want right through to learning
songs and the Drum Music Theory behind it all. We even offer training for professional
drummers playing gigs.
We've undergone lots of training and spent countless hours finding out what works when it
comes to learning how to play the drums and as a result We have developed a series of
guides to supplement your lessons.
The Beats Workin Guides bridge the gap between Rock School's Graded Books and a
students present understanding. The guides are divided into sections that build up a
students skill and knowledge base bit by bit with the main emphasis on playing the drums.
At the start of each section is a learning objective and also a way to recognise when that
learning objective has been achieved. Some background information about the subject
with exercise material to practice at home is also included.
We will support our students all the way but it is vital that students practice the material
provided in order to make progress.
If students wish to go on to take Rock School gradings then the Rock School's Graded
Books should be purchased in order for the required depth of training to be delivered.
