She fought her way into the record industry as a teenager and sold her first hit, ‘Will You Love Me Tomorrow’, when she was just seventeen. By the time she was twenty she was writing number ones for the biggest acts in rock ‘n’ roll, including the Drifters, The Shirelles, Aretha Franklin and the Monkees. But he...r greatest challenge was to find her own voice and finally step into the spotlight.
BEAUTIFUL is the untold story of Carole King’s journey from schoolgirl to superstar; from her relationship with husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, their close friendship and playful rivalry with fellow song-writing duo Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, to her remarkable rise to stardom.

Wow we have just seen the Beautiful musical at Newcastle and it was the best show we have ever seen.all the cast were amazing and so talented. Special mention for Bronte Barbe of course as Carole king. The stage sets were immaculate and professional . All my favourite songs too .xxx

Worth every cent! The music plays like a life soundtrack with songs I have heard from the womb that triggers memories and emotions. The performances are all well executed. While there is a clear lead the entire chorus is beyond talented.



Thee only criticism for me was the costume design that did not seem consistent with the time periods. Levi jeans and shoes seemed just purchased on the high street. Distracting. More attention to this would make a subtle but important distance.



It is hard to not want to sing along and dance in your seat...but please do better than the women behind us last night who thought we paid to hear them. Trust me when I tell you that Natural Woman made me want to jump out of my seat and belt out right along (what would have happened had I BTW!?! LOL)



Net net...my husband, 11 year old son (piano student) and I are honoured to have seen this in advance of the cast coming to our hometown (Toronto).

Went last night daughter surprised me absolutely amazing must see from start 2 finish loved it brilliant talent through out music blew me away well done all the cast must not miss x x x

WOW! What a show, what a night! From the first song to the last, I didn't stop singing, smiling or clapping. I always knew I was going to love the show, but wasn't prepared for how much! I'm on such a high..... Thank you to all the cast for a truly amazing performance..... I could do it all again tomorrow!

This show so spectacular, the singing Esther Hannaford what an amazing voice. All the cast were outstanding, the costumes amazing. I knew every word of each song took me way back. For me its a must see again !!!!!!!!!!

This show is truly outstanding , I haven't came out of a theatre feeling so happy for a very long time . The vocals are superb running alongside the story with some humour added to the mix . A really uplifting and emotional show , thanks to the cast at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall and especially to Leigh Lothian who played Carole in the performance I seen .

This show is a feel good show. You see a fantastic cast and hear some of the most brilliant musical artistry written by Carole King, Gerry Goffin, Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann. Book this incredible show and you will not be disappointed. But you will be if you Miss It

Beautiful singing, beautiful staging, beautiful orchestrations.

You forget how many brilliant songs Carole King and her contemporaries created.

Simply one of the best shows I've been too. Great performances by all the cast. Full of humour and of cause wonderful songs. Went to the afternoon show on Sat 05 Aug and was hoping Carole king would put in an appearance, as it was the second to last show in London! But I was to be disappointed!! My daughter wasn't to keen to go and see the show, but at the end, she had fallen in love with it and couldn't speak highly enough of it at the end. Gonna book some tickets when the show goes on tour! Congratulations to all the cast and the orchestra.

SOOOO good!!! I knew I would love the music but the show is great in every way. And I'm picky!!! One of the best shows I've seen in a very long time. Up there with Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton for me.

Must go, if you get the chance - it was just such an amazing show. I was filled with joy for the whole show, quite incredible. xxx

It was fantastic! It was very well done and the whole cast were exceptional. The music and songs were great. At interval l had to buy the cd and even then wanted to see the show again! Don't miss this one it is so worth seeing. ���

I went with my friend to see this show, yesterday afternoon.

Didn't realise just how many songs she'd written and surprised at some of them as well. (Songs for the Monkees, Rolling Stones and Little Eva.) Great acting that portrayed the storyline well and was emotional near the end. Loved it!

Have waited so long for this to come to Birmingham and I was not disappointed � It was absolutely wonderful, can't recommend it highly enough! Everyone was brilliant! Such amazing talent. If I could see it again I would instantly �

An amazing body of work woven around a life-story that is both entertaining and moving. A truly uplifting experience and enjoyed every minute. Would totally recommend the experience.

Absolutely fantastic show the talent and music is out of this world, iv loved Carol Kings music for more years than I care to mention but didn't realise how much music she actually wrote, the show is now on tour and I'd say please go it's worth every penny ❤️

We (me, my Mom and my Sister) came to see this show at the Grand last Saturday. It was a birthday present. One of the very best I’ve received. The staging, lighting, and music were just incredible. A huge congrats to the orchestra/band for their Stirling efforts.



The cast; brilliant. Great performances from all involved, including Our Carole. The only small criticism we each had, was that, at times, her singing voice was too much. At times, it was perfect, but then at others it sounded a little nasal and forced, but other than that, we couldn’t fault a thing.



I honestly had no idea just how many songs Carole penned for other artists. It was great to be able to tie it all in together.



All in all, one of the best musicals we’ve seen, and we’ll definitely be seeing it again, and recommending to music lovers in general.
