DONOT take watches to be repaired here.
I recently purchased a new Raymond Weil watch from Beaverbrooks and whilst there asked if I could have a clasp repaired on my old watch. They said to bring it in . Took it in a few days later and they took the details from the watch and said they would call Raymond Weil.
They called to say they had received a quote for £165 so I took the watch in and they sent it off. A few days later I got a call to say Raymond Weil had quoted a further quote of £410 £136 for a clasp and the rest for a new movement. I said I wouldn't bother as I felt they were trying to rip me off so they said they would have to charge me for insurance £45 no mention of that when I sent it off so I thought I might as well have the clasp done. When I went to pick it up the watch wasn't working. They sent it back to Raymond Weil who said it was working when they first got it.
A long story short after numerous emails I was told by Meadowhall that the watch can stop any time during transit so they refunddd my clasp payment and so now it looked nice but didn't work . Was told to take it to a smaller jeweller who could possibly repair it cheaper ? Even though it stopped when it was in their care. Asked for the copy of report from Raymond Weil 's highly qualified ' watch repaired that it needed a new movement as was broken.
Funny how when I picked it up I took it to Timpsons who fitted a new battery and it is working perfect.

My and my daughter were just having a look at rings only around the £20 £25 mark as she is only 12 and she wouldnt be very reliable at keeping something safe. They had a sale on and a few rings between the price range. This was a 1st ring purchase and I explained this to the lady who was serving us. It was a girly shopping day. I have to say we felt like millionaires and we were treated the exact same as if we were buying a diamond ring or a rolax watch. We were seated at a table and offered drinks. They bring out the rings exactly like something that was £5,000. We decided on a ring that was £23 and still everything was the same (i did get a glass of water because it was warm in the shop but it was not too much trouble. Taken over to the till The lovely box with a ribbon and lovely tissue paper in a gift bag. It was amazing I cant even buy a fast food meal for £23. The customer service is AMAZING. Id like to say Thank you to the lady who served us, it was worth the money just for the experience and I will know exactly where to buy more expensive items of jewellery in the future.

Great service. The lady who served me was really friendly and took the links out of a watch I wanted instore in about three minutes.
