Beaverbrooks

Make sure to check product throughly before collecting!
I sent my watch off to get a battery replaced with beaverbrooks and left a £15 deposit and was expected to pay the remaining £20 once the repair was done. I then received a phone call 4 weeks later saying that the hour hand was slightly off and that this additional work would cost £120! I asked if they could just replace the battery and not repair the hour hand, to which they said that this was not possible and that I had to have all the work done or none. Since I was unable to afford £120 I ask for my watch to be returned. 6 weeks after I first dropped my watch off at beaverbrooks I was able to collect it again (lost the £15 deposited and no work was done) where I simply grabbed the watch and left. Once at home I noticed a large scratch and a chip in my watch which were not there when I dropped the watch off. I went to beaverbrooks the next day to complain and they informed me that by collecting the watch I accepted the condition that it was in (I was not informed of this at the time) and they could do nothing about it. It therefore took 6 weeks and £15 for beaverbrooks to chip my watch. I then took it to the watch hospital in the mall who repaired it in 20 minutes, corrected the hour hand and it only cost me £16 in total. Save yourself time and money by going there first.
