Becca Williams Jewellery Designer - Silversmith

Yesterday Ben & Misha spent the day with me in the workshop making their wedding rings!
Misha chose hypo-allergenic Platinum for her ring and Ben opted for textured 9ct Yellow Gold. They made each others rings; patiently patterning the gold with a tiny hammer and sanding (oh, so much sanding!) the platinum.
The result was a gorgeous 'twist' front Platinum ring and a rustic Yellow Gold one - a beautiful pair!

And these beauties are the other set of Wedding Rings from the weekend: Paul made Rachel's fine, 18ct White Gold band and she patiently sanded his wide, matt palladium ring - excellent teamwork guys!

I love the stories behind a piece of jewellery: this was made by Faberge in 1904 and can be directly linked to the jeweller through a series of letters discussing its design.

I don't always do high value repairs, sometimes I just put sentimental pieces back together.
This silver ring had got really mishapen with wear and snapped clean through in a couple of places. I soldered the breaks, re-shaped and polished it for a few more years of wear :)

It's been a good week for thank you cards! Here's one that features a red gold and sapphire ring that I made a month or so ago - it's now stuck above my desk! :)

I helped these two lovely people make their wedding rings last year, back in my Birmingham workshop, and now they're husband & wife! Seeing wedding photos is always a joy <3

Commissioned ruby wedding anniversary bangle from Becca. Becca understood what we were looking for and produced it. It is a very classic understated piece, we love it. Price very reasonable. Won't be looking at anything but bespoke in the future.
