Beckenham Ballet Academy

Beckenham Ballet Academy is a specialist RAD Ballet school which also offers Contemporary, Lyrical Jazz, Commercial Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre classes.

BBA (www. beckenhamballetacademy. co. uk) is a professional friendly school in the heart of Beckenham offering well structured ballet, Lyrical and Contemporary classes to children from age 3 - 18 years . Most classes start at the barre with simple warm up exercises and a focus on posture and alignment of the body, progressing to more complex sequences ( nothing to be afraid of ) to improve stamina and flexibility. We then move into the centre and use travelling sequences and jumps ( allegro) which get the heart rate pumping and a chance to really dance. At the end of each lesson we do a cool down to stretch out all the muscles we have used incorporating pilates based exercises to improve core stability and flexibility.
