Say hello to Bhav Gohill, one of our most regular restaurant guests. He's just completed the London Marathon in aid of the Stroke Association, trained for many months to achieve such an amazing feat and swears that our famous Old Faithful breakfast helped him along the way!
Bhav still needs some support in his fundraising so if you can help with any amount, he would be eternally grateful.

Thanks so much for the cookery school! Your chefs are lovely and what a lovely restaurant and shop - a repeat visit is definitely in the diary :)
My daughter had a bakery party at the orange kitchen today and I could not recommend it enough...... it was fabulous, a very well organised party and the ladies were so lovely with all the children...... I would definitely book another party here!! One to remember!!
Thank you xx
Lovely carvery meal ...and also like to mention the lovely young girl in cafe who on request by me cut the large pork pie into two and put in seperate bags because we were sharing it with someone ...thank you most helpful we will return x
Just been here for the first time, breakfast was lovely, not greasy and the produce used was so tasty. Then we went to the farms shop and I thought it would be expensive for meat and veg, I was wrong! £1.00 for a large punnet of cherries whereas supermarkets charge £3. Got a large pack of sausages as well which was a great offer. The sandwich was bar looked lovely lots of fillings and they are generous too. I will be coming again for sure x
Having seen some ridiculous reviews (had a great time but only giving 1-2 stars for one minor inconvenience) I thought it was time for balance. Becketts' is a fabulous place to spend an hour or two! In the spring and summer there are animals and events to experience, and in the winter the bakery, shop and restaurant serve as solice from dreary weather. Selling food that is all locally produced and sourced at relatively competitive prices to nearby supermarkets as well as 'ready meals' wih minimum preservitives etc is something some people take for granted. I for one always enjoy a trip there and look forward to taking my son to the aquarium, too!
Having originally come from just up the road, but now living in N Ireland, breakfast at Becketts Farm has become a bit of a family holiday tradition. After spending time with family it’s now customary for us to mark the start of the ‘proper’ holiday by calling here before we set off on our travels!! This year was no exception and we had a truly magnificent feast (a Harvester Family Platter) which suited perfectly as one child doesn’t eat eggs, the other wasn’t fussed on bacon, only 3 eat beans etc etc etc!!! Between us all, the plate was almost cleared and, along with bottomless coffee, the cost of £28.95 was excellent value! In addition, the enthusiasm and chat from our server, Annie, especially when she heard we were heading to Cornwall, was lovely! She gave us loads of suggestions of things to do and places to see and was so helpful!!
Thoroughly recommend this place! Perfect start to the family holiday and of course we’ll return (next time we cross the Irish Sea!).
Had a great couple of hours, with the little ones. Seen the animals, then a visit round Shirley aquatics. Followed by Coffee and cakes from the farm shop. Lovely afternoon that wasn’t expensive.
Excellent menu, good portions at a fair price. The best comment though is, ‘the place was full with people having lunch.’ Punters vote with their feet and and don’t come if they don’t like any aspect of the experience they’ve had previously. I’ll certainly fall into the category of not only going back, but looking forward to doing so.
Brought some of the fudge today and wow! It’s amazing!! Definitely worth a trip there just for that alone. Staff were fab, let me sample virtually all the flavours before I brought any. Was not disappointed. Xx
Been visiting Becketts for years. We are not local (Basingstoke, Hants), but often visit when we visit relatives who live in North Wales, and purchase on-route home. We buy in bulk, and will typically purchase the Ribs of Beef, Pork Chops and the Bacon and Sausages. You won’t taste beef like it anywhere else. Highly recommended.
Amazing as always, breakfast at this place just gets better, refurb looks great, friendly staff 5 stars from me, oh and the cakes in the bakery are out of this world 😍
I’ve been several times now and I find it brilliant, so much food and all delicious 😋. Thank you to the staff , the service was excellent.
Recommend it to anyone xxx. I will be going again very soon xxx
Breakfast was lovely and tasty had the old faithful service was excellent
We had a carvery yesterday for a group of girls meeting for Xmas. I though the atmosphere was quite poor. Their was no Xmas music being played. Service was really slow even though the time we went it wasn't that busy and felt rushed to be out as soon as we'd finished. Food was lovely though.
Sandwiches there are always great, but the service this AM!!! Omg there was a young girl and guy that were in danger of going into hibernation if they went any slower, there were people leaving the queue. Really hate moaning but seriously it was ridiculous.
The food is great though and so too the easter marquee out the back
Lovely farm which was very well organised with good animal welfare and friendly staff. The farm shop and cakes were excellent, the cafe service was fairly poor. The cream on my hot chocolate was lovely, but the drink Itself was luke warm and not what I wanted after being outside in the cold. My husband returned it and no apology was made. When he collected the replacement he was told it was made extra hot (almost as if I was wrong!) It was still tepid and ok for a child but trade descriptions if you're after a "hot chocolate".
WARNING do not buy any frozen pet mince from the butchers I brought some and it's full of bone shard I understand that they use bone but you don't expect a whole chicken bone that's gone into shards and rip my fingers to bits and it doesn't state on the package of any warning about using bones!!!! And when I phoned them to inform them of this the attitude of the person I spoke to was horrendous and didn't care needs a lesson in customer service!! and put the phone down on me will not be getting my custom again!!
Dear Becketts. I have notice that you have thanked all the people on here that have praised you. What about explaining and/or apologies for the foul customer service, cold/raw food - to which when my partner pointed this out to me with in a waitress's earshot, all restaurant staff scarpered, so we couldn't complain and we were avoided until we requested the bill and false advertising on your website - home grown means on site, not from local shops/farms
