We were given a gift voucher from our son. Travelled from Nottingham, took us about an hour. Our surname is Beckworth so we’re intrigued by the place. We were not disappointed. What a lovely garden centre, food shop, gift shop and restaurant. Food was of top quality and we were made most welcome. Plenty of staff to cover the hoards of people that were there. The restaurant was just buzzing the whole time .

It was really strange to see our surname on the backs of all the staff, paper bags and gift bags with our name and even food with the Beckworth name.

The young lady who served us in the restaurant, Chelsey, was really friendly and informative, telling us the background to the name of this lovely place. Which we found most interesting .

We will definately be going back and will also be bringing some more of the Beckworth clan with us

User

Usually lovely produce. But was disappointed this time. Bought some of the fish cakes. 2 lemon and dill and 2 Thai with chilli and lime. Both flavours tasted the same and had no signs of lemon, chilli or lime. In fact they were very bland. Please get your flavours stronger.

User

Love Beckworth! Love to visit for a shop & lunch. Looking amazing with all of the completed refurb!

User

Just perfect. Quick seating lunch time. Waitress service spot on. Compliments to the chef! We enjoyed our 3 course and the pudding was to die for. Can't wait to come again

User

Just love it here.....Have had breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and Sunday roast- all excellent and served in a lovely atmosphere. Would certainly recommend it.

User

It’s one of those finds! And you keep going back, as nowhere else compares. Lovely

User

Ice skating- well organised, great staff & service limited queuing. Deserves to do well. Cafe/restaurant always more of the same. Organised as well as a mainstream attraction. Pricing absolutely fine for the service levels offered. Exceptional.

User

I visited today with my partner and my friend to celebrate her 90th birthday with afternoon tea. After arriving and being seated quickly we presented my friend with her birthday balloon which quickly caught the attention of the staff who so very kindly bought over a complementary glass of fizz for the birthday girl this was such a lovely thoughtful thing to do for such an occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and as usual the food was great. Top service beckworth

User

I visited Beckworth for the first time yesterday and bought my friend along. We were a bit early for the Afternoon Tea (which looked amazing), so instead I had the Superfood salad with 2 additional toppings and my friend had the Date, Fig and Squash tart, plus we naturally ordered cocktails to go with. We both loved the food and couldn't fault it. The atmosphere is relaxed, you don't feel rushed which is a blessing when there is so much to see.

I found the whole place, clean and well presented including the toilets, which had the added extra of a radiator in each cubicle.

Would definitely recommend going, and I shall be going back soon.

User

Have been for afternoon tea on several occasions and it is always a joy. Food lovely and staff friendly and helpful. You cannot book and sometimes you do have to wait for a table but usually this is not too long depending on the day/time of year. Will definitiely continue to visit as lovely atmosphere and great for browsing gift ideas.

User

Been many times, always come back for more, excellent food and excellent restaurant, always recommending friends and family.

User

Been a few times and so nice not have to wait too long for a table. First time we have had the afternoon tea and as usual the food was excellent. Also spent a small fortune buying a couple of pots I didn’t need and plants to put in them. They do look good though.

User

Went yesterday to use my birthday cream tea voucher. Food good as always and service great. The 25 minute wait to get a table was not. People having to push past to presumably get to loos and not queue jump, and people leaving having to avoid the inward traffic. Beckworth is now well established and I appreciate the no booking decision but is it time to expand to support the demand. I visit quite often and there are always queues back to the food hall. Even a one way in and out system would make the experience more tolerable. Overall cannot fault service or quality of food.

User

The food was very exspensive tasted ok but nothing fantastic didn’t get a huge amount. I had a jkt and chilli didn’t get much chilli, I found the toilets not to clean I would definitely sack the cleaner. The staff were friendly enough.

User

It's really where we take the elderly relative out... Coffee is the best out and cakes are lovely.though it was 26.85 for two coffees, one coke, one tea two cake and ham sandwich with small chips included.. .Nice to look around but the . Prices are high.. Considering you can get a meal elsewhere for that..... Will be back with the relatives at some point... As they don't drive

User

We used to come here all the time haven't been for a while. Food is always amazing but the service was very poor. Drinks arrived after our food and had to ask to order and felt rushed off the table. My parents had advised me they stopped coming for breakfast as they found the service quite poor now. Such a shame as such lovely food!

User

I was so disappointed with our trip to Beckworths today. Our daughter is allergic to dairy, soya & egg and the menu was very limited for her with the only real option being a jacket potato and baked beans. I think the menu needs revising and more consideration to be given to people with allergies and a vegan diet.

User

Always quite enjoyed a visit here and the food off the menu has always been nice and delivered with pleasant service and a smile too. This time we had the afternoon tea, as did a number of others. It seems popular. WHY? What a waste of money. Cheaply made tasteless (salmon aside) sandwiches. Pathetic tiny pieces of cake (tweezers would be useful) and sprinkled with a topping of crisps (to help fill you up). A complete waste of money. You get more enjoyment from a meal deal from Tesco. It seems most people receive these as “gifts”. As did we. This is probably why they get away with serving this rubbish. People eating it, haven’t paid for it and won’t say anything bad, which would upset the poor person who had given it as a gift with thought and love as a nice treat! Shame on you Beckworths. But hats off to clever marketing and making a huge profits on these. Congratulations!
