Bedford Hospital South Wing

A very good service and caring nurses. A cozy atmosphere created by the nurses made me feel less stressful in the hospital. Many thanks to the staff in Acute Assessment Unit.

I had a procedure that hadn’t ever been performed in the endoscopy department before as I had been transferred from a specialist hospital that was just to long a journey for me at nearly 4.5 hrs. each way.I visit a year would be accepted but not every 12 weeks as I will have to go until the end of my life. All the staff were professional in their approach and gave me 100% confidence that they were able to perform a simple procedure for me although no one had ever seen the procedure or heard of the procedure B4 I must say I had so many onlookers the Dr. I charge had to say no more onlookers.Well in 12 weeks I will be back again so good luck that those that missed out this time you can look next time. Many thanks to the staff on Tavistock ward. The surgeon has done a marvellous job I am so very pleased. I was very well looked after by the staff they all do at times a thankless job. OUR NHS is worth saving. You may need their help some day. Be thankful.

To do a blood test in Bedford you have to go tho North or south wing Bedford Hospital instead of local Surgeries . These places charge 4 pounds for even an hour and no 2 hour free parking in nearby streets. I am coming from Northampton where we never had to go to hospital for blood tests usually. It was collected by local surgeries.Lot of free parking there next to hospital for 2 hours. Looks like government wants to make money out of parking and all these nonsense. Why cant they put one building outside town for common people?

Staff are amazing. These people who moan on these reviews about waiting times & rude staff - U get what U give.

The staff are brilliant here - just a shame they are worked so hard. Waiting 3.5 hours with kids is tough but the staff are helpful, courteous and very professional.

My husband was admitted to the hospital three times over a period of 12 days. His care throughout from the Emergency Room staff to the Wards where he spent in-patient time was exemplary. The care given could not have been better. Follow up out patient appointments were speedily arranged. A big thank you from both of us.

Excellent care by excellent staff. My knee operation was carried out by a top surgeon with very good results, and the rest of the clinical staff were competent and caring. Yes it looks a bit run down but quality of care is what matters. Other patients will have other experience but for me Bedford hospital has been as good as it could be.

Would like to forget my experience in this place. In short, Rubbish! !!

I would like to thank the staff at Bedford A&E who cared for my 5 year old daughter this morning, after she hit her head. Dr Tom Lawson and team were amazing. Dr Lawson took us right in himself and seen to my little girl, he was fabulous. It was just a minor injury, I know there is the potential to wait for hours in this situation , but we didn't wait at all. The staff were so friendly and calming to me too who was also rather shaken up. Keep up the good work. We truly need to look after our fabulous NHS.

I have had two day stay operations recently, knee cartilage and parathyroid tumour removal (neck). Both have been done to the highest standards I could imagine and I am medical. Great teams, including the doctors, staff and volunteers.

The one-stop shop service for Urology is brilliant. There is nothing to worry about. The staff are so kind and friendly and you are through the whole system in no time, including a detailed scan, with a report going to your GP. Highly recommended!
