This event marks the beginning of a new and exciting series of live music hosted by our new Director of Music Events, Marketing & Promotion - Mr. Dom Uppiah. These events wer...e brainstormed through a mutual understanding of what people want and need from Norwich nightlife but also, and most importantly to us, through a passion to create a night that spreads a message of positivity and happiness.
We'll be working in conjunction with Infinity Consultancy, Dom's new business, which strives to connect new and start-up businesses and create opportunities in a community environment via a networking service - specialising in those with mental health issues who may be affected more-so by the stress and anxiety that comes with being an aspiring entrepreneur.
We'll also be raising money and spreading awareness of mental health issues on behalf of Norwich MIND. We have a bunch of things being planned over the coming months and we're excited for you guys to see what we have in store!
This weeks special guest is Perry Cooke UK - an artist from Norwich who, whilst being mentored by will.i.am, reached the semi-finals of last years The Voice Kids. Since the show Perry has released an album titled "Unplugged" which features a rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine" alongside four Ed Sheeran covers. Perry very generously donated all profits to the NNUH Skin Cancer & Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of all those who are affected by Cancer.
Perry has curated a charity fundraiser every year since his grandad sadly passed in 2012. Perry and his family have raised money for the NNUH with a charity party at their yard in Swanton Road, Norwich. The event, which will be in it's sixth year this year, has raised more than £20,000 with performances from Perry and fellow Norwich artist Dominic Uppiah. We are excited and ecstatic to have such a special person play at The Crypt.
