‘A wriggly worm!’ This little one was so fascinated by a worm she found whilst digging in the garden today. She watched it wriggle for a long long time- totally engrossed in the moment with it. We love that #forestschool is so unhurried and child-lead that these magical moments often happen. The concentration, care, understanding about our world and the language she used to describe it was fantastic! We love that these little ones learn and grow at their own pace, tuning in to the natural world and playing in the mud - what could be better!? #forestkindergarten

Bee Wild in the Woods this Half Term with our small, friendly Forest School Holiday Club for 3-8 year olds.
Our woodland sessions are lead by experienced practitioners and focus on building children’s confidence, self-esteem and communication skills through engaging and adventurous activities.
Little ones are cared for by our highly qualified kindergarten practitioners, whilst older siblings and friends will strengthen teamwork and creative skills with our Forest School leade...rs. Please note, at the moment our spaces for 3 year old's are only available to children who already attend our kindergarten.
In true Forest School style, we create a welcoming and friendly camp for children to explore their inner wild side in their own way. At Forest School we are play-based and child-led, with plenty of opportunities to take part in games, challenges, natural crafts, dens, survival skills, pond-dipping, tool-use, wildlife, growing, camp cooking and exploration.
We will be celebrating the best of this lovely season with, natural art, treasure hunts and treats on the campfire.

Families are invited to our Holiday Family Forest School session from a beautiful new woodland location this term. With wild spaces and campfire cooking - the woodland garden at Stanmer Park is an amazing spot for some wild adventures and to feel like we're 'getting away from it all' for the morning.
There will be plenty of mud, stories, play, treasure hunts and adventure for little ones, the chance to learn new skills (from foraging and firecraft to tool-use) for the bigger ones and plenty of hammock swinging and tea drinking for the ones who like to relax and take in the view.
A campfire cook-up will be a big part of the sessions, with seasonal treats and tasty grub included and the chance to make something to take home

Making Dandelion Jam... This week we wanted to make the most of the bounty of Dandelions at our #forestkindergarten, so we gathered a basket full (making sure we left plenty behind for the bees and butterflies) and had a go at @muddyfacesuk Dandelion Jam recipe. Our little ones loved snipping the petals and steeping them in water to make dandelion tea. We ran out of time in the woods, so the final stage of boiling and sugaring was done back at home- jarred up and ready for the children to take home next week. . #dandelionjam #dandelions #forestschool #foragedfood

Goodbye and Good Luck to our lovely Em who is heading off for a summer of adventures. Em has been assisting Simone with the Tuesday Baby Bees for the past year and has been a cheerful, kind and thoughtful member of our small team. A lovely busy Baby Bees with Simone this morning. The woods were singing and just beautiful in the dappled sunlight. Banana pancakes were on the menu and we got crafty with colourful spinners and making our own chalk paint 🎨

Today’s Baby Bee adventures at our exciting new location- beautiful Stanmer Park! The sun shone as we played in the bluebells, making wind wands, lavender play-doh and yummy veg soup with wild garlic. Such a gorgeous place to bee!! 🐝🌳🌱
