What a wonderful place. Went for a celebration afternoon tea. The staff were so attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and the champagne was the best I've tasted. This place knocks spots off of Whatley Manor and I'll definitely be returning. A hidden gem

We went as a family of nine to celebrate a birthday. We were well looked after, the staff were great we had a small child and two medium children they were given good attention and loved it there. The food was excellent. It was the best meal out that we have had for a very long time.

User

We treated my Mum to afternoon tea at Beechfield house and we weren't disappointed. The food was gorgeous with a lovely selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes - there was even a nice tea menu! We thoroughly enjoyed out afternoon with friendly staff in a beautiful setting.

We have just arrived home from a wonderful overnight stay at this beautiful hotel. Cosy room, very attentive staff and good food and a lovely swimming pool, we will definitely be returning!!

We had our wedding here on 30th June and it was fabulous! Beechfield's wedding planner, Gaelle, was great to work with and nothing was too much trouble.

Huge praise goes to head chef, Mikey, who totally bought into our desire to have colourful, nutrient rich & organic food - the food was out of this world! Thank you Beechfield house for such a great wedding experience!

User

We had a lovely afternoon for my mums 60th birthday afternoon tea. We were seated in a beautiful private dining room and the service was exemplary. The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely come back again! I'd highly recommend Beechfield House.

We had a fantastic stay at Beechfield house, for my Husbands 40th Birthday celebrations. The staff were amazing, efficient, attentive and very friendly. The hotel is stunning and all of our guest rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. The outdoor pool and area was a huge bonus and we enjoyed our afternoon lazing by the pool. The food was incredible, as good as any michellin star resaturant and the care and attention given to us was second to none!! This hotel should be a 5 star establishment. I would highly reccommend it to anyone.

Today we said our final goodbye to my father in law Peter. We held his reception here at Beechfield as this was my in laws favourite place. We have had many great fanily times here.

As a family we would like to thank all the staff who helped us to celebrate Peter's life. The food was amazing (as always) and the staff as professional as ever. Thank you to Chris the owner for allowing us to hold this at the beautiful Beechfield House.

Today we celebrated my mothers birthday with a full afternoon tea. This was my mother first ever afternoon tea. The service was Splendid. The afternoon tea was amazing. My mother fully enjoyed herself and got given a glass of bubbly too. She's also stated that she will be coming back. Thank you very much

User

This afternoon we used a birthday voucher and had a full afternoon tea for two...no complaints here! Lovely venue, lovely staff, lovely sandwiches and cakes all washed down with lovely tea (we had 2 rather large pots plus extra water!) Thank you Beechfield House...we will be back!

User

Thank you Jean-Luc and all the team at Beechfield House, for an amazing day last Friday June 19th, the wedding of Lauren and Ben Withey. From first booking to saying goodbye on Saturday morning, nothing was too much trouble; no question too trivial; no detail left to chance; every 'ask' we made was carried out to the letter. The hotel looked beautiful, the food was superb, the staff one and all brilliant. We can't thank you enough! It really was the perfect day. xxx

User

Superb stay of two nights. What a wonderfull find. Attention to detail, staff, food and the pool was amazing. Thank you and will be back for another relaxed and peaceful break in excellent surroundings which felt like a little bit of Italy and of course the weather made it.

User

Lovely country house with beautiful grounds and most amazing warm swimming pool! Great for special family time!

Having visited Longleat Safari/Festival of light, we

chose this Hotel as not far from Longleat but in the right direction of home. We had taken my mother who had not been away for 9 years & she loved it. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman, who escorted us to our rooms, which were conveniently next to each other. We ordered room service which was efficient & quick & all staff were pleasant & efficient. Will definitely be staying again if in that part of the country & would recommend to friends.

My partner surprised me with an afternoon tea here yesterday for our anniversary. We arrived early, checked in at reception with Anna and had a wander around this gorgeous hotel.

Couldn't fault the staff, very friendly and attentive. We both love afternoon tea's and have had quite a few. I was a little disappointed with the choice of small cakes. They were all tiny sponge squares of different types, but very plain no fruit or fillings at all. Sandwiches and scones very tasty and endless tea. On the whole a very enjoyable experience .

The afternoon tea my husband and I had was lovely but spoiled by a couple of things. I am diabetic and when I booked 10 days before I asked if it was possible to have a savoury scone instead of the usual jam and cream. I was assured that would be no problem. On the day, however, they had no savoury scones and had the nerve to ask me how bad my diabetes was! They eventually agreed to make some extra sandwiches instead but I was disappointed. They also failed to provide a pot of hot water with the tea or a clean plate for the cake until we asked. It was not a busy afternoon in fact we were alone in the room for most of the time. I will think twice before returning.

User

Our experience at this hotel didn't start off well. We arrived after a long drive at 5.30pm very tired. We had booked a garden view room which we didn't get and reception staff couldn't change us. We asked if we could get something to eat. We were told they were fully booked for the restaurant but to sit in the bar as we may be able to get a sandwich.

A very stressed lady, quite stern looking with a grey trouser suit on approached us. She told us no food was available. No sandwiches were available. We couldn't have room service until at least 7.30. We were starving!. The lady quite rudely walked away. We asked at reception where we could get a sandwich. We ended up at SUBWAY which was a 10min drive away! Not good for this standard of hotel. No apology. Nothing! The lady was rather rude. Will not be returning

User

I was taken here by my daughter-in-law for afternoon tea....the table they say us at was far to low and we were expected to sit on a low settee ,we asked to be moved and the gentleman very kindly moved us.On paying the bill we had to pay an extra £5 for service charge ...I feel this was a bit of a joke we were not told about this ....I do not mind leaving a tip for good service which this was but object to bring forces into this.

User

Over rated hotel but lovely grounds and staff. Just don't eat here! Scones for afternoon tea were tiny. Dinner is pretenious, overpriced, underseasoned and just not very good. Back dining room is totally lacking in atmosphere. Heated pool was good. I was here for my birthday and extremely disappointed. Wouldn't return or recommend. Stay at the Three Daggers in Edington about 20 mins away for fabulous rooms, great food and better value all round
