Beefeater Duck

Called into the Beefeater yesterday afternoon for a bite to eat.

When the food came, the chips were stone cold so they got sent back.

As the kitchen area is open you can see the food being prepared and I heard the Manager chase up the chef for the replacement chips after already waiting a while. Sadly the Manager didnt bother to come over to say sorry and try to assure us that the food was on its way.

So once the chips were ready, they just sat there on the counter for another 10 mins waiting for someone to bring the them over!!!

Hence when they did get finally get brought over they were also cold and I'd already finished the rest of my meal.

The server was apologetic - and had the replacement food been hot and served quickly, then that would have sufficed.

However as the replacement chips were also cold, and they took so long to arrive, i had to suggest to her that she should remove the cost of my meal from the bill, which she did.

It wasn't particularly busy in there so I expected service to be quite swift - but in my experience it seemed disorganised and the staff seemed a little too complacent and not attentive enough.

Shame really - as there are plenty of other restaurants close by, to choose from - so you'd expect that this Beefeater would want to try to offer a good dining experience in order to drive repeat Business.

Sadly, this doesn't seem to be the case.

Nice friendly service. Excellent food quality. Lovely breakfast.

We really like going to this Beefeater. They are always welcoming and very helpful.
My only complaint on this particular visit is that the guy who served us seemed stretched (no fault of his own) and also as regards the food, I ordered the buttery chickengoujons with dead at salad. The chicken was lovely but the croutons were terrible. It was like they had just put stale bread on my plate. All this said it was the first time I had a complaint about the food and doesn't put me off going back in to Beefeater.

What an amazing experience we just had. Me the wife and 2 kids just enjoyed an wonderful evening meal comfortable surroundings not hot and loud. Service just right....not too quick and the staff very friendly happy and professional. Excellent portion sizes with unlimited drink and chips options! 4 of us just had 3 courses each and drinks for just around £10 each. Incredible. Well done Beefeater Duck!!!
Oh and the steak and actually all food was cooked to perfection.

A poor serving of food!
steak well undercooked, peas very hard obviously cheaper type.
3 times cooked chips were no better than frozen, guess they were!
nothing like fresh chips cooked 3 times at all. Portion size 9 chip policy??
Partner had ribs.
Ribs was right! no meat on really poor quality and value!
Coleslaw was something else!
These are simple things done poorly or not at all.
The chips need blanching. Freezing. Then into hot fat!!!
Steak--- look at the thickness when cooking and not straight out of fridge!
Coleslaw make your own no red cabbage add seasoning and a little horseradish.
Ribs - 2 young- Butcher issue.
Sorry but go back to basics!!
May try again but doubtful.

Standard beefeater. Nothing out of the ordinary. Decent food. Not much else can be said. If you've been to one, you've been to them all

Best food in an English restaurant. Wouldn't see going anywhere else. Great meat great chips great salad, which are not microwaved unlike weatherspoon and other major chains.

Very good. Quick polite service. Rare steak cooked perfectly. Enjoyable meal. Very pleasantly surprised. Definitely will use again next time back in Brim.

We were told a table would be ready in 20 minutes - 50 minutes later we were seated (this is not a huge issue as we had not booked). Waited a further 45 minutes for our food and was hugely disappointed when it arrived. Order surf and turf to receive 3 measly prawns and a medium cooked steak that tasted horrible. Spoke with the waitress who called the manager over. The manager was attentive and took the order off of the bill and said that he would check with the kitchen to see if it was a one off or the whole batch. So I give a 3 out of 5 as the food and wait for terrible but the staff were very good.
