Beefeater Fountain

Went for dinner last night and it was delicious, and the staff were lovely and attentive. We had the sharing platter to start, which was enjoyed by all. Then one of us had the chicken escalope which was succulent and tasty, another had the rack of ribs which was absolutely delicious with loads of meat and sticky bbq sauce, and the other had the beer battered fish and chips, which was also delicious. Everything came out hot and in good time. Cookie dough sundaes and trio of sponges to finish, also delicious. Couldn't fault the evening. We'll be back �

provided an excellent service. Our food

was to a very high standard. I consider

the prices to be fair for what we had.👍

We did have a voucher but besides this the meal was excellent! We had the sharing starter which we loved and I had the fillet steak medium rare (yum) it was delicious! My lovely had the beef and cheddar pie which she loved but too much food after the starter! Forced ourselves (haha) to share a pud! Overall good food good wine good beer and excellent service by Gemma!

Ive been coming here for quite a while now but have seen a slow decline over the past year.We always wait ages to be greeted on entry even been ignored before , the food of late always looks like it’s sat there for 10 mins ,my roast pots yesterday were cold but too hungry to wait and my husbands fried egg on his gammon looked like a plastic one lots of fat around the gammon aswell . I went to the bar myself to get our drinks because we waited so long (but staff were working v hard as it was busy )when I ordered a second glass of red wine I got it on the house because I waited too long .Such a shame but my husband and I won’t be rushing back �

Just passing through, and stopped in for a quick meal for 4 of us, luckily we’re not local as we would not recommend the place to our family or friends. 1 positive the food came within a reasonable wait time. Other than that the service was at best poor, main course literally thrown at 2 of us and with abrupt communication, and the food itself looked and tasted very dull indeed, nothing wrong as such just very basic, mediocre portions with a fairly high price tag! The festive ale was poor, and drinks all round expensive, I do not recommend this venue and the only reason for no complaint at the time is because it was the first night of our break away and we decided to not let the situation get us down. Poor from such a large chain on a fairly quiet night.

I rang to speak to someone about reserving a table in the bar for a group of 8 people. I was told this wasn't possible they only took bookings fir the restaurant. On arrival there was only the main menu on the table. The website clearly offered a lunchtime menu so we went and requested it plus a high chair. From the look on the faces of the staff you would have thought we had asked for the impossible. The menus were brought over to us but we had to ask for the high chair again.

The food arrived and the risotto was luke warm and more like a rice pudding. The rest of the food was ok. We ordered deserts and one didn't arrive. When the barman was approached he said " oh I remember you ordered it - it should have come out with the others" he looked through the bin to see if he could locate it to check who's error it was! If it was our error he wouldn't have known we wanted it. There was no offer to send one out and by the time one would have been st the table ice cream would have melted etc so one person went without desert. Not the best way to celebrate a friends birthday. Very disappointed.

I had booked our reservation on the internet about, two hours before hand, and had a confirmation code, that we told the lady at the front desk, who took ten minutes to greet us initially, and then shown a table where a 50th Birthday Party was celebrating, it was rather noisy, so we asked for an alternative table, (upstairs), so we were shown to the table, and sat for at least half an hour for out drinks order to be taken, eventually out drinks arrive, and by this time the restaurant was not that busy, it took another three quarters of an hour to take our meal order, by this time me and my daughters were all very hungary, the meal was ok in the end, but not to standard as u would expect for a Beefeater Restaurant and for the prices we paid !!! Very Dissapointing !!!

On top of that, one of the chefs decided to let out his anger at the top of the stairs near where we were sat. I won’t type the expletives he used, but extremely unprofessional! Even when I mentioned it to other staff I wasn’t offered an apology at all! To top it off, both gents toilets were not very clean and neither cubicle had a lock that worked properly on it! If it hadn’t have been for the food and our waitress it would have been a 1* I’m afraid!

Arrived 1300 got the first 3 of 13 main courses about 1520 all luke warm about 8 mins later 3 more roast dinners all stone cold .the childrens meals were hot but we sent 4 back .they were microwaved n returned not eaten as congealed gravy n micro lamb is not good.one of our party had a cold burger but hot coleslaw ?the staff were under dreadful stress as many complaints but were very polite app an oven wasnt working but one waiter took over half an hour to deliver 13 main courses we didnt pay for any food just our drinks.but for a family get together 2 years in the making was left very flat !!!!!!

And had a bad attitude toward me the rest of my stay. In other words, took everything personally. I live in Twickenham, it was the first time I tried the place and would never go back. Even the hostess was not happy with me when I stated I would rather sit downstairs than upstairs.

There was no offer to send one out and by the time one would have been st the table ice cream would have melted etc so one person went without desert. Not the best way to celebrate a friends birthday. Very disappointed.

You were only offered chips but no vegetable. The starter I sent back because it was almost £6 for a giant mushroom sliced and breaded served with a dipping sauce. No worth the money. Then when my server Gemma agreed to take the mushroom off the bill she stated more than once that I would not be able to return anything else should I be unhappy. And had a bad attitude toward me the rest of my stay. In other words, took everything personally. I live in Twickenham, it was the first time I tried the place and would never go back. Even the hostess was not happy with me when I stated I would rather sit downstairs than upstairs.

Went for dinner last night and it was delicious, and the staff were lovely and attentive. We had the sharing platter to start, which was enjoyed by all. Then one of us had the chicken escalope which was succulent and tasty, another had the rack of ribs which was absolutely delicious with loads of meat and sticky bbq sauce, and the other had the beer battered fish and chips, which was also delicious. Everything came out hot and in good time. Cookie dough sundaes and trio of sponges to finish, also delicious. Couldn't fault the evening. We'll be back �

We did have a voucher but besides this the meal was excellent! We had the sharing starter which we loved and I had the fillet steak medium rare (yum) it was delicious! My lovely had the beef and cheddar pie which she loved but too much food after the starter! Forced ourselves (haha) to share a pud! Overall good food good wine good beer and excellent service by Gemma!

Had a lovely New Year's Eve dinner but to be fair the staff that was on and our waitress was excellent !! Food was great too !�

Ive been coming here for quite a while now but have seen a slow decline over the past year.We always wait ages to be greeted on entry even been ignored before , the food of late always looks like it’s sat there for 10 mins ,my roast pots yesterday were cold but too hungry to wait and my husbands fried egg on his gammon looked like a plastic one lots of fat around the gammon aswell . I went to the bar myself to get our drinks because we waited so long (but staff were working v hard as it was busy )when I ordered a second glass of red wine I got it on the house because I waited too long .Such a shame but my husband and I won’t be rushing back �

I would of put 1star but the staff were lovely and most of the food was ok. But we. waited far too long. Over an hour. Another customer said was the same 2 weeks ago. He thought it was becausr the restaurant was so busy. But the need to get more help on the kitchen. They are not coping. Don't know if i would go back! I've been going in there for years. Not since done up and stopped because it had gone down heel and prices had gone up with smaller portions. But now that seems ok but takes too long.

Another dig. You put a young lad on the bar on 2 hour trail and left him to it! Hope you gave him the job!!! And paid him!

Only go there as it's local to my dad service yesterday wasn't very good and presentation of food wasn't great beefeater use to be a great place not so much any more

My steak wasn’t great. There was dirty silverware. Waitress wasn’t friendly.

Just passing through, and stopped in for a quick meal for 4 of us, luckily we’re not local as we would not recommend the place to our family or friends. 1 positive the food came within a reasonable wait time. Other than that the service was at best poor, main course literally thrown at 2 of us and with abrupt communication, and the food itself looked and tasted very dull indeed, nothing wrong as such just very basic, mediocre portions with a fairly high price tag! The festive ale was poor, and drinks all round expensive, I do not recommend this venue and the only reason for no complaint at the time is because it was the first night of our break away and we decided to not let the situation get us down. Poor from such a large chain on a fairly quiet night.

I rang to speak to someone about reserving a table in the bar for a group of 8 people. I was told this wasn't possible they only took bookings fir the restaurant. On arrival there was only the main menu on the table. The website clearly offered a lunchtime menu so we went and requested it plus a high chair. From the look on the faces of the staff you would have thought we had asked for the impossible. The menus were brought over to us but we had to ask for the high chair again.

The food arrived and the risotto was luke warm and more like a rice pudding. The rest of the food was ok. We ordered deserts and one didn't arrive. When the barman was approached he said " oh I remember you ordered it - it should have come out with the others" he looked through the bin to see if he could locate it to check who's error it was! If it was our error he wouldn't have known we wanted it. There was no offer to send one out and by the time one would have been st the table ice cream would have melted etc so one person went without desert. Not the best way to celebrate a friends birthday. Very disappointed.

I had booked our reservation on the internet about, two hours before hand, and had a confirmation code, that we told the lady at the front desk, who took ten minutes to greet us initially, and then shown a table where a 50th Birthday Party was celebrating, it was rather noisy, so we asked for an alternative table, (upstairs), so we were shown to the table, and sat for at least half an hour for out drinks order to be taken, eventually out drinks arrive, and by this time the restaurant was not that busy, it took another three quarters of an hour to take our meal order, by this time me and my daughters were all very hungary, the meal was ok in the end, but not to standard as u would expect for a Beefeater Restaurant and for the prices we paid !!! Very Dissapointing !!!

Food was good and our waitress was lovely. But she seemed to be the only one running here, there and everywhere! On top of that, one of the chefs decided to let out his anger at the top of the stairs near where we were sat. I won’t type the expletives he used, but extremely unprofessional! Even when I mentioned it to other staff I wasn’t offered an apology at all! To top it off, both gents toilets were not very clean and neither cubicle had a lock that worked properly on it! If it hadn’t have been for the food and our waitress it would have been a 1* I’m afraid!

Arrived 1300 got the first 3 of 13 main courses about 1520 all luke warm about 8 mins later 3 more roast dinners all stone cold .the childrens meals were hot but we sent 4 back .they were microwaved n returned not eaten as congealed gravy n micro lamb is not good.one of our party had a cold burger but hot coleslaw ?the staff were under dreadful stress as many complaints but were very polite app an oven wasnt working but one waiter took over half an hour to deliver 13 main courses we didnt pay for any food just our drinks.but for a family get together 2 years in the making was left very flat !!!!!!

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing meal The manager tried his best but it was a terrible experience. The food arrived late and wasn’t good.

So slow to seat us. Then ages for a drink and starters were served an hour and half after we sat down. Not the greatest of service

Poor service we was asked to pick our starters and mains which we did drinks starters came mains after 45 minutes later still no mains in the end we spoke to the manager and left without paying as he said he couldn’t charge us as we waited so long
