About Beefeater White Hart - Guestling

Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will.
Beefeater believe in two things, a warm friendly welcome and serving incredible steak that you can kick back, relax and enjoy. Famous, of course, for the 1066 battle, Hastings has many other attractions, such as the Museum & Art Gallery & Reef Aquarium. No visit is complete though, without a visit to the White Hart!

We went for a meal to The White Hart for my mothers birthday and had Beth as our waitress, she was absolutely amazing, the food was delicious and they even comped my mums pudding as a birthday treat. Thank you so much for making my mums birthday dinner a wonderful experience. P.S. sorry my daughter was a little loud but she did have some patrons laughing :)

We had a good evening, service by Laura was excellent, food was hot and tasty, can be a bit hit and miss at this place, but was all good last night!

The food was fantastic. My complaint’s to the chef. It’s the best meal we have had in awhile at a harvester. The waitress we had was very polite but a bit shy bless her. All round visit was fantastic. I would return xox

Sat in the back of bar area which gives a lovely view of the large fields behind the garden area, very beautiful sunset. We visited with our two children 7 & 4 very good kids menu, amazing value too (2 courses and a drink for £5.99) and has colouring and activities for both age groups on the back. The children had burgers, fries and corn on the cob. My partner 10oz steak and I had the sharing platter (fancied a bit of everything). Food came out in under 15mins, rare steak cooked to perfection, the platter included the best chicken wings I've ever had amungst over yummy bits and pieces. The children had mini donuts & pancakes for pudding which looked tasty and were beautifully presented. Overall it was a success, lovely staff, beautiful surroundings and very well priced (whole meal & drinks £47) we can not wait to come back!

My husband and I went there on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 in the evening while on holiday in the area.. we hadn't booked but got a table... the service was excellent the staff were very nice and friendly and our sirloin steak was cooked to perfection it was a great meal ..we would definitely recommend it !

User

Love this place, location, menu and really friendly staff. They have booths at the back where you can plug your lap top (free WIFI) in have a bite to eat and chill. Their mid-week menu has £5 dishes which are all cooked fresh, delicious and plentiful! The views are amazing with an enclosed patio garden where you can sit and enjoy. Highly recommend this place!

User

Just been for a meal here, it was busy and the staff were under pressure but not only was the food lovely but Emma, Kiara and Luke gave faultless service. Well done and see you again!

User

Great Beefeater pub on top of a hill watching the sun go down in the garden after a lovely meal. Staff nice as well

Eat at the beefeater white Hart regularly, have used it with my wife for many years with no complaints. Eat there on Saturday 16th June at lunchtime. We had a family meal booked at 12.30 and there were 12 people in our party. The service was excellent even though they were under staffed on the day. All our starters and main courses were very good and we did not have to wait to long for the food to turn up. Our orders were all correct in food and drinks and seeing it was a large party, we were all very happy with the service. We will carry on using the beefeater and recommend it. Have tried similar kind of restaurants in Hastings and St Leonards and not as good for food.

User

Other than it took "forever" to get drinks and the loaded fries were most definitely just fries with a "plop" of flavoured mince on top I loved my food as did everyone else. The service was very slow regardless of how busy the place was not but we had a fabulous time, all ate well and drank plenty. Staff were friendly and apologetic for the delay. Will be visiting again. Soon.

Nice little find on the way home, they do a Sunday roast, but the menu is really good children's menu was very varied with one of our granddaughter opting for the steak and the other for cod bites, the steak was very good and the code bites actually made of cod which was really great. Our sharing platter for two was huge and could have done the four of us easily, I had steak and swapped my chips for salad which was very nice my husbands pear salad with steak was very tasty, staff were very accomadating and the restaurant was bright and welcoming it's a shame it doesn't have a play are in the huge garden Iam sure this would be a advantage for families.

User

Have eaten there a couple of times in the last month or so. Very nice food and shown to are table on arrival each time. Great service but some of the waitress could put a smile on their faces while taking your order. Apart from that all great and definitely go again.

User

Found on the way back from Hastings to camber and popped in on off chance of getting a table. 5 minute wait service was great and the food was really good glad we stopped :-)

User

We went there yesterday for my partners birthday and was very disappointed r food came out very burnt was like having coal on your plate we left more food than we ate we all left very disappointed I wouldn't recommend

User

Disappointing meal and service last night. A real shame because we have been there a few times before, but unfortunately our experience last night will mean we won’t be visiting there again.

User

Not overlly impressed by our visit yesterday.

The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the steak and both pieces were chewy.

An elderly gentleman unfortunately wet himself as there was a very strong smell of urine as he passed us. When he left, the soiled (fabric seat) chair was not removed from the restaurant, instead the staff sprayed air fressner to try and disguise the smell. This is not good practice when peple are eating.

Despite the restaurant being very quiet, the staff then sat another couple at the same table. We felt that it was our duty to tell the lady not to sit on the chair as it had not been cleaned. The lady told the staff about the chair and they moved it.

Had a table booked for 15:30 today, arrived at 15:29 on arrival told us to wait as just clearing table which was understandable and didn't mind to much, went and ordered some drinks for the family, got to 15:50 went to ask if table was ready and told still wasn't sorted by a very unhappy manager who wasn't at all welcoming, he must of loved his job. Went back to bar area to carry on with are drink at which another family had same issues and left. We finished our drinks and did the same, staff not very helpful and none of them seemed happy to be there,

Wouldn't recommend to anyone after this experience, went a few months back and service was appalling but thought give it another go, never again at this restaurant

User

Had a table book for 5pm we got there at 4:50pm and was told to go wait in the bar area and come back at 5pm, so we then went back up only for the manager to have no idea what was happening due to the lady we saw first had already put us as sitting at the table but no actually sending us through to the table. The service was very poor indeed our drinks took forever to arrive we had to ask the waiter to see what was happening with them, he(the waiter) wasn't very good at all, his personal hygiene was shocking he stunk of BO and he didn't have a clue what he was doing when writing down our food order, he was also waiting on tables next to us and got their orders wrong. We then order pudding which again turned out wrong we ordered two Cheesecakes(the waiter wrote all this down) and only one turned up, their wasn't a waiter to be seen anywhere, finally managed to catch the manager only for him to give a sarcastic answer "Maybe it's still on it's way" only for him to look at the table to see everyone else had finished their puddings for him then to say "or have you waited long enough" we then ordered a second round of drinks one was a Becks top only for it to turn up with no top just a Becks.

I won't be returning anytime as stated service was very poor and wasn't even that busy.

User

Every visit you have to wait ages to be served even when you book a table, refills on drinks well you better order a one when your half way through as that takes 45 mins to arrive due to the lack of staff. Also if you want a non alcoholic beer or cider you can’t have that only a alcoholic one. I know this place has gone down hill but I think the staff are trying to see how far they can run it into the ground
