What a lovely place to camp. The upgrade over the last year have been a revelation. Pitches have been widened to accommodate ever bigger caravans with awnings but still leaving plenty of room on grass for those people in tents.

The new children's play area is situated at the top of the site opposite the office window so always observed stopping any trouble when parents aren't supervising. ( children not all little angels )

Yes the showers are 50p but plenty long enough for parents and children in the family room and more than enough for the single person to wash, shampoo and condition. ...and maybe this is also to stop the mindless idiot who like to put taps on and leave them running just to flood the place out.

The site itself is surrounded by trees, brilliant for den building and adventure.

The staff in the office are welcoming, informative and ALWAYS polite.

For those people with dogs there are plenty of areas just off site, the closest being accessible over a stile off a path next to the site

All said this site is perfect for adults, children, dogs.

Would highly recommend.

We stayed overnight at Beehive Farm to try out our recently purchased camper van and we were very impressed.it has excellent facilities and we found them to be extremely helpful both on the phone and when we arrived.it is in a lovely peaceful setting and as there is minimal lighting it really feels like you're miles from civilisation!we had a lovely time šŸ˜Š

User

We spent three nights here, with visits to Thomas Land and Twycross Zoo only a short drive away.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were given a good pitch size with plenty of room. The showers were very hot and powerful - the 50 p goes a long way. The toilets were very clean and the family bathrooms are perfect. The grounds are well maintained and the lakes are picturesque. We will definitely be returning. Keep up the good work. We have been visiting Beehive for nearly 3 years and it is the only place we keep revisiting.

If it's fishing you want - you are spoiled with 3 lakes and quality specimens. The scenery is pleasant and the pitches and whole site is excellenty maintained. The staff are the friendliest I have come across and they are really hard working.

I have never seen the toilets or showers in a bad state, but I can assure everyone that the last visit 02/04/2017 - the toilets had smashing new air fresheners and looked like they had been freshly painted. The prices are on par with national averages. Our Grandkids love coming with us too, and I'm sure they will enjoy the new play area. If they allowed charcoal bbqs and fire pits it would be my ideal retreat. But that's just my view.

We look forward to many more great times with our amazing šŸ Hive friends.

The cafƩ serves the best bacon sarnie you'll get. Don't arrive expecting a quick service, but good food comes to those who wait, right?!

Lovely food from lovely people. Top marks, ladies!

Just had another brilliant weekend at the Beehive. So relaxing and everyone is so friendly.

We ran another Social evening (sequence dancing/line dancing/bit of disco etc) this weekend too - with two more new recruits. We will advertise when we are running the next evening - if you're on site please come along. Bring your own drinks and nibbles and enjoy the fun, relaxed atmosphere - have a go at dancing!!

User

I donā€™t know about camping here, but the fishing is great. A day ticket for me and two children is just Ā£14 and the Botany Bay lake has upto 30lb carp, Bream, tench and plenty of Roach. There may be others but thatā€™s what Iā€™ve experienced here. The staff are really pleasant and always have some great tips with fishing the lakes.

User

Had a lovely time with family.. staff very helpful and polite.. There's still lots to do even with the rain. We didn't want to come home. Will deffo be returning

User

First time we have ever been and we had a fab time. Facilities were great, would definitely come again!!

User

First time here this weekend and felt very welcomed I now store my caravan here and me and the kids love every minute here they even lent me a spare hook up as mine wasn't long enough they really go out there way too help you

User

Fantastic! The facilities were excellent and the pod was very comfortable. The kids had a brilliant time in the woods making dens and playing on the grass. Will definitely go back!

User

Fantastic place we were a party of 30 and thoroughly enjoyed it the kids loved the secluded wood to build their den and us being close to the toilet block and a big open grass space for our men verses women rounders match went down well too and talking of matches our telly tent was a hit with the other campers who popped over for a glimpse of our boys come on England thinking of a return for the final! The place was amazing

User

Didn't use campsite but visited the bush craft fair 27 to 29 May 17. Everything was brilliant from Parking to organisation. Well organised. Staff went out of way to help you. Friendly. The fair was incredible for any bushcraft enthusiast or camper/hiker etc. Well worth the visit loads free crafts for kids to have a go at.

User

Amazing place totally unspoilt friendly people great site short walk to local pub awesome beautiful lakes and walks so much more to discover definitely be back

User

A lovely campsite with very good fishing lakes. Facilities are very good and very well kept.

User

Not up to scratch. Poor facilities, if you want decent toilets, showers & pitches go anywhere else. Sub standard toilets and showers that you pay an extra 50p to use . The only thing that made this site great were the people who were using it, some of whom have now left. Owners now consider profit before their guests.

User

I feel a little robbed, rang to book cleary stating 2 nights of which she responded thats fine on the phone to be then debited Ā£75 for 3 night. On arrival we asked why we had been charged 3 night when we clearly stated 2. Their response was its a bank holiday min 3 night only

Fare play if this had been told to us on the phone when we rang of which they did not!. Unhelpful and couldnt give a shit attitude! !

The site is nice as big pitches, countryside etc

Inadequate amount of showers/toilets for the size of the site

6 amp electic is a bit tight i feel

Everything has a cost showers etc.

Shop is aimed at spending money on kids thankfully a coop in the local village for essentials.

Not easy having to lift a 8.5 stone Rottweiler over a style for a walk to coton on the elm. Be careful if you go with bigger dogs. Its not clearly sign posted at all.

It was a last minute booking as a stop off on the way home i personally wont use it again!
