Well last night was our last quiz of the year! It was a brilliant night, giving away a jackpot of £478 and just having a brilliant night!! I just want to thank everyone, Hope you all have a great Christmas and we hope to see you on the 7th January 2019 for our big birthday quiz!!!

The four of us came up to The West Riding from Derbyshire on Sat (2nd July) and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast for our Son's 18th birthday.

We arranged with Carole over the phone to have the table decorated which was done brilliantly for when we arrived and he even had his first (legal) pint served to us by the helpful and friendly Chris 'on the house' - which brought a smile to his face! The food, as ever, was of an excellent standard in the

'Ale day breakfast' and we got the train back into Leeds for the day with a lovely full tum!

Lovely honest food, brilliant service and they do a lovely Parma Violet gin 👍

I had half hour to wait for the train so I thought I'd call for a quick beer, 2 hours later I'd sampled several very nice real ales and was ready for my journey. I will be calling again to sample some more of their ales and next time I'll be having some food too.

Had Sunday dinner here and the food and service was great

Great bar Great beer Great food Great Music Great Staff , a jewel in a not so shiny town. An example of what a pub should be, oozing with interesting people and artifacts, a must visit.

Cracking pub and to say that it can get very busy especially at weekends there's always a great atmosphere and very nice ales to be had

Called in for the first time yesterday and will definitely be going back. Good beer, good atmosphere, and helpful friendly staff all combine to make this a good pub.

Call in here before or after most match days as well as seeing a few bands here a brilliant atmosphere and selection of real ales though I'm a lager drinker the pies and pasties are nice too

Always spot on. Try the Chew Chew salted caramel stout if it is on.

Always a superb selection of very well kept real ales, delicious inexpensive food, two real fires, great staff, wonderful atmosphere and instant transport home...not many venues are as good as this!

great pub, wish i knew the stage was outside, would have brought a big coat & blanket, oh and a cushion for the cold hard benches. A great pub with many rooms, great pies and flapjack.

Step off a train and be assaulted by a wide variety of proper ales. Also used a lot by local clientele....a bit weird with it having a door onto the platform ! Knowledgeable staff who will give you a taster if you are not sure what to buy a pint of. I use this place regularly and am always flummoxed by the choice of real ales. It is built into the train station, after all. Avoid the 8% dog breath ( ? ) at all costs. I hear the nosh is pretty good too.Enjoy.

Nice pub and my husband liked the choice of Ales. A little cold had to keep my coat. It was lovely if you got near the fire.

Nice place to start the beer trail from. Shame some of the others are over run with stag and hen parties from huddersfield
