There is something special about Beese’s! The live music on Fridays is great fun and relaxing in the garden on Sundays is a perfect way to finish off the week. The tasty food and beautiful location add to making it one of the most enjoyable and unique places in Bristol. Looking forward to my next visit!

User

Stunning setting, beautiful food and great service! Really couldn’t fault this place!

User

Lovely view of the river while eating really good food too and very quick service as it was really busy

User

I love this place! I have spent many a Sunday afternoon relaxing with a glass of wine while the kids play, and last night I experienced my first ever 'adults only' trip when I came to watch your live band The Raskals......utterly brilliant night, great bar staff, great vibe, and lovely warming heaters outside. Such a gem of a place ūüėĀ

Decided to take mum to Beese' s tea garden today with Freddie.. Forgetting to ask what the disabled access was like before arrival. Once we got there we realised that it would be impossible to get mum down because of the steep steps & ramps. But the staff there were incredibly helpful! 1 chap helped mum down in the wheelchair & then 2 helped mum get back up the hill after enjoying our amazing cream teas! Would highly recommend a visit to this place! Great food, lovely view & fantastic staff! Thank you!!

Beeses is a refined venue for the discerning bohemian.

I love it and don't go enough. But then, I am able to negotiate the steps/steep road and all the other challenges that make it such a lovely place to be.

The beer can be sublime as can the food but beware a crowded day as the kitchens have limited staff and menu.

Other than that, there is no where else like it in the whole of the West Country.

User

Beautiful views, tasty food, ice cold drinks and plenty of dogs to pet. Would definitely come again!

User

Amazing garden, great service despite heavy queues and a lovely atmosphere.

User

We come to beeses often and have done for many years. It's such a beautiful location and the kids love playing in the garden. The cream teas are delicious, I can highly recommend! The service is getting better each time we visit which is great as I think it was a bit hit and miss when the new owners first opened.

User

We absolutely love Beeses and have been coming across in the boat for years. Today was no exception, we all loved it. But I have to say the food today was really really disappointing (I can't remember it being like this in the past). £13 for a burger and no children's menu. Quite surprising with the amount of children in the garden. So we all returned home to eat. This place would be spot on if there were more reasonably priced food on offer and food for children.

User

Just got back from our first visit with our baby and was really upset that there was no easy access for prams, instead we had to dismantle our pram at the top of the steep steps and carry our five week old son down in my arms. One family coming back up the steps also commented that they struggled with the lack of access too, and I noticed another couple and their pushchair struggling down the steps later on. Perhaps an advisory note could be put on your page and website advising of this, as if I'd known this, it wouldn't have put me off coming, I just would of brought the baby in a sling. It's a lovely place, just not for pram and pushchair users!

User

A very pleasant setting by the river and with a varied menu.

I give 4Stars rather than 5 due to allowing people to smoke at the open air tables! I have got used to no smoking in restaurants.

User

Visited last night with family, great location, nice choice of cider, but greatly disappointed by the food. We checked the menu before and people had decided what they fancied only to turn up and there was only a hog roast or a burger on offer. And only a burger for children. There was no description of the burger on the board. If we had known it was going to come with cheese we would have said no cheese. The of the children ended up just having a plain roll and potatoes and was very upset that they couldn't have the chicken has they had originally planned. I was really looking forward to the Nachos but they weren't on offer. Why put a good looking menu on your website and on here if you are not going to offer all of it? Will just stick to drinks in the future.

User

Lovely spot on a summers day. Beautiful view of the river. The kids love the boat trip over. Don't mind paying a bit extra for a beer as it's a seasonal place.

BUT some very unhelpful staff and the food was expensive and average at best. Shame. It used to be better.

User

Came for my birthday lunch with my parents and it was average. Beautiful setting but the food was highly priced in my opinion and lacked flavour. There was one member of staff who was extremely pleasant the rest not so much. In fact the waitress that bought our food leant right across the table to hand my mum her food and knocked an ice cold drink straight into her lap. She was offered another drink but no apology.

User

Nice Location, Scenery. Not a fan of the food or one of the staff that I feel was rude In trying to tell us our children had wandered off outside the boundaries of our event (that we paid for) during a busy event.we were "engrossed" in ..The band were good tho.

User

I had been really looking forward to visiting Beeses, the photographs looked amazing.

Upon arrival I could see the bar was busy, I'm sure they are used to this with the frequent boats trips dropping off volumes of customers.

We picked a spot to sit with a lovely view of the river.

Firstly my husband went to order lime and soda to be told there was no soda, the food queue was long to order the food however we pursued and placed an order for a ploughmans lunch and a meat version

We waited a good 45 minutes for our food, when it came out we were not greated with any apology. The food looked nice (not sure it was worth the £9.95 price tag per board) good selection of meats and cheese but only half a slab of bread

I asked the waitress for some more bread (which the 2 ladies next to me had done so before)

The waitress looked at me and said 'I'm not sure we can do that'

My husband said we would pay (goodness knows why we are having to beg for more bread)

For the waitress to then say .... well there's a 40 minute wait on food, you can go queue up and order more bread but god knows how long it will take to come out

I was so astonished by this appalling service my mouth just dropped

I carried on eating my lunch as we had already paid and when the young man came to collect my board no-one asked how it was or had I enjoyed it

The view is lovely but the service is probably some of the worst I've ever experienced and totally over shadowed the whole visit
