The aim of befriending is to reduce social isolation and contribute to the overall well-being of people using the service. Befrienders are members of the community who volunteer their time to help other people. They can visit someone at home simple to have a chat over cup of tea, accompany someone on a walk to the shops, out on a trip to an activity or place of interest.
