Finally The Exmoor Beast Burger challenge has been beaten. (If you can eat a second Beast Burger you get it for free). This holiday maker took on the task of eating 2 Beast Burgers and after an heroic effort he achieved his goal. Well done that man!!! Anyone else want to step up to the mark???

The Snow Beggar at Beggars Roost.

Our locals know how to get to the pub in the snow. Great effort guys!

User

We are not able to provide food tonight due to the weather conditions. Sorry for any inconvenience. Drink however is readily available. Cheers.

User

We will not be serving food this lunchtime as our chef is snowed in in Lynton. We will review the situation again at 2pm for food this evening. In the meantime, if you can get here for a drink please call 01598 753645 and we will open the bar for you to thaw out in front of a nice warm fire. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Wow! What an absolutely beautiful place. We stayed here for our honeymoon and had the most warmest friendliest welcome. The hotel is beautiful, the room was just divine. The breakfast room was just beautiful. Kev, Jan and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming and made our stay perfect. The food was just amazing! We've already decided to come again for our first anniversary. Thank you for such a lovely few days. Becki and Ian Collett. Xx

Wonderful birthday supper last night at 6 o’clock followed by Paddington 2 in Lynton Cinema. Great evening all round. Thank you!

User

What a perfect place to stay as a base to explore the local area! The room was bright, comfortable and immaculate, opening out on to a lovely view of the garden. The pub was a cosy place to spend a stormy evening and the food was delicious - the chef kindly accommodated my request to alter one of the dishes to make it vegetarian, and the beer on tap was very moreish! The best bit about the stay though, beyond its proximity to the coastal path, was the warm welcome from Kevin and fabulous conversation we had with Jan throughout our stay. Jan's artwork throughout the buildings made it feel like we were staying in a gallery! What a quirky place...We'll definitely be back :)

User

We stayed here for 1 night. We wished we had stayed longer. Absolutely beautiful place with an immaculate room. This place has style but with the warmth of feeling like you were in someones country home. Jan and Kevin were wonderful hosts who made you feel very at home. The meal we had in beggars roost was fantastic. Breakfast did not disappoint either. I cannot praise this place enough. If we holiday in the UK again we will definitely be back and stay longer.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Exmoor Manor Hotel / Beggars Roost Inn and have had a wonderful time.

The room was warm, quiet and comfortable.

The food was amazing, both breakfast and dinner being tasty, cooked to perfection and well presented. In addition great lengths were taken by the chef and management to cater for my gluten free requirements.

The pub was very inviting and comfortable with a good range of local beers and ciders. There was a great atmosphere with very friendly staff and a good mix of customers, both tourists and locals. We were made to feel very welcome and included in all the chat and gossip.

At the time we visited there was temporary management, but you wouldn't know. Tristan and Naomi were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us and with their lovely young daughter, made us feel part of the family.

When we visit the area again we will definitely return to Beggars Roost.

Great food, I had the duck both times I was there and it was so beautifully cooked and just dropped to pieces. Very dog friendly too, which was great as we were on holiday with our three dogs so needed dog friendly places to eat. Very friendly service too.
