We had our wedding here in December 2016 and it was absolutely amazing. The staff where fantastic- nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious! Every guest that came to the wedding commented on what a stunning venue it was. Would definitely recommend Belair House to anyone that asked.

We had our daughters 1st birthday party here in November 2015 and I must say it was most definitely the party of the year. The Belair house team were amazing, beyond helpful with setting up and making sure all our guests were all good, so happy to have experienced such an amazing time!

User

The Jazz night was a perfect evening: beautiful venue, a wonderful atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. Definitely recommend it!

User

Rare find in South London - Love it! Recently had my sister's surprise 50th dinner, and have to say excellent service by all the team - Food, drinks ambience exceptional. Good night had by all. Highly recommend - 5*

Me & my wife got married here on 31st July 2015, the staff, the venue & food were AMAZING!!!

I wouldn't of changed a thing, I'd like to say a massive thank you to all the team at Belair house for making our day even more special than what it already was.

I would highly recommend this place even if it's just for a cuppa!

Luncheon to celebrate my 2nd cousins 85th.

The staff were attentive & friendly, going beyond the call of duty by helping elderly friends up & down the stairs.

The meal was superb, we had pate, roast beef, & a chocolate/mocha dessert.

The views from the beautiful bar and ding area were stunning.

A very good choice of venue for this type of function and of course weddings.

User

I had a fantastic night here. The food was excellent as was their wine selection. Christopher was a fantastic waiter and we were treated like celebrities by the staff as we were told we were their first proposal since new management had taken over. Will be back again I am sure.

User

I arranged our Christmas party at Belair house. We were a party of 120 people and we all had a fabulous time. The food was good and the staff were fantastic.

User

I absolutely love this place ... when I lived in SE London, I've spent many happy occasions here for special birthdays and other events ... I hold very fond memories of this place. I have since moved out of London but hope to be back to visit one day soon :-)

User

Great place. The bar is particularly good. Great drinks and wonderful staff. And some impromptu live music, which adds to the fun.

User

Belair House is as unique as it is stunning. I have personally used this venue on a number of occasions for dinning out, chilling out in it's luxurious bar and most recently for a business meeting aimed at booking the venue for later date.

Set on approximately an acre and half land, Belair House is ideal for those alfresco moments, picnics and lazy weekends in the sun.

User

Beautiful venue inside and out. Cocktails amazing and buy one get one free on happy hour. Food especially desserts amazing and great wine list. Staff very friendly.

User

A beautiful venue that I hope to re-visit

User

I went recently, although mid-week and midday, the service was good, food was very tasty, staff polite and the bar felt really sung with the fire going. I'd say, if you live near, pop in and have a look. A new venue is going to have some teething issues and a bit of settling in but they're really making the effort to make this venue into something special.

User

Good rooms just don't expect a cooked breakfast on a Sunday morning. Service was non existent and despite ordering it never actually arrived.

User

Beautiful surroundings but rude staff got rude comments made to me towards my tattoos which left me feeling very embarrassed as it was said in front of other staff and people. Feel like it's okay to make conversations with customers that's what people want but to make rude comments about something that's on them isn't what they're paid to do

User

I’m not entirely sure where to start; the lack of service at the bar, the increasingly rundown building, the curtains that weren’t even as long as the windows, the bar furniture which had almost all been moved out to the terrace that desperately needs a re-paint (the glass on the balustrade wasn’t even clean) or the confused Indian/European menus. We had our wedding reception here and so decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here and to say we were disappointed was an understatement. The wine list is limited and poor and the bar man didn’t understand it (when asking for advice he suggested that the Malbec and the next one on the list “had the same taste”). A group next for us were equally underwhelmed having asked for a margarita and been told that it wasn’t on the menu and therefore they couldn’t make one! It took a while to order drinks and we landed on a £60 Red Zinfandel.....which was transferred to a decanter....fine aside from the fact that the decanter hadn’t been cleaned properly.... Dinner was average and not a patch on the many other Indian restaurants that Dulwich has to offer but significantly more expensive. There were four tables in the restaurant for the entire evening (that says something ok a Thursday night in an affluent dining out area) and two paid nothing for their meal and the other were looking to get a big discount given they had waited for ages and then found four hairs in their butter chicken which was nothing like the butter chickens that most of us have had elsewhere. The waiter was very pleasant but we had a significant language barrier between us which led to both confusion and frustration. The guy who I think was managing for the evening spent his entire evening chatting to the largest table in the room and certainly didn’t do much managing. The ladies loos smelt of cigarettes and given there were no exterior windows it could only have been as a result of people smoking in there. We also found a hair in our food...

We want this place to be a success, it’s a special place for us and is in a beautiful setting in a great location but it’s a disaster! It lacks identity, management, invested staff, skilled chefs, investment. Nobody had even bothered to take down the posters advertising the outdoor film that had been cancelled. It is a beautiful building in an incredible setting with several outdoor terraces...it has so much potential but is so far off the mark. If I had based my decision on choosing a wedding venue on tonight’s experience then it would have been an immediate no...and that makes me feel really sad. The management and owners need to really look into what they are trying to achieve as in Dulwich word gets around and if enough people have the experience we had tonight then the place will result in financial ruin for the owners....

User

Bar staff very rude. Quote you a price for a drink and then try to charge you double.

User

Absolutely terrible management and organisation. They advertised a New Years Eve event which they cancelled without telling anyone that it had been in advance and allowed tickets to continue to be sold. They also removed my comments about it on their fb page. Will be leaving a google review and on any other media outlet available.
