Went for lunch here today and the service was brilliant, even though it was very busy we got served very quickly and the waiter was very helpful and polite, received a 50% discount for being students and were very impressed, can defo recommend xo

Very good service friendly staff we had booked for 8.30 and were earlier arriving by 3/4 of an hour thought they would say no sorry you’ll have to come back but they said No problem and found a table for us. Food was delicious and service was spot on 👍

Love it here, I order the same thing everytime and it never fails me. Especially as im very fussy with food. Came here last weekend and the waiter we had was outstanding. I could fault him. I wish I knew his name to personally thank him. Table as soon as we walked in, food in less than 20 minutes, always checking we were OK and so he got a tip. Very polite and helpful. Ive never had service like it. Very impressed. Cant wait to come back again.

I went here on 23rd March 2017. There were three of us, two of us done the group on menu. - amazing! Being our second visit to bella italia we wasnt disappointed. Having been to cribbs the first time wasn't great service compared to filton! In particular Melinda and Cristina were exceptional, they welcomed us like family and looked after us so well. Will definitely be coming back and making it our no1 Bella Italia! X

I love the atmosphere and the great choice of good tasting food at the Filton (Abbey Wood) Bella Italia. Service is always good and friendly. Sitting in the restaurant you could well be in the middle of Italy.

Went to Bella Italia for a Birthday celebration, small party of 6 on a Tues evening. The service was very friendly although a bit slow as there were only 3 waiter staff & it seemed quite busy. I guess the fact that the restaurant was busy on a Tues evening is a good sign in itself. All 6 of us enjoyed the food & we had an enjoyable evening. The waitress that served us was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure that we had a good evening. I have rated Bella Italia a 4 star as the overall experience we had was very good.

Staff were great and the menu varied. It wasn't very busy which I liked because our drinks and meals arrived quickly but we did go on a Monday night so that might explain it. The portion sizes are reasonable, I only ordered a main and couldn't even finish it. Would go again, possibly as a big group xo

I visited with my husband and another couple. Being Gluten Intolerant I called ahead and made sure they could cater for me. When we arrived I was immediately told they me they didn't have ANY gluten free pizzas left (6 30pm on a Sat night!) So my choice was very limited. When I enquired into how well the food was prepared to avoid cross contamination the waitress told me they couldn't guarantee anything and basically it was the risk I would have to take! I ended up having a pieces of grilled chicken and chips which was nice. I felt Bella Italia isnt interested in customers who have any form of needs which is ironic when Southern Italy are actually pretty great at catering for gluten intolerance. I don't think I will be going back.

Good food, nice atmosphere, things that let our party down, slow service, waited ages for drinks and food, when they did arrive there was too much confusion, some people had finished theirs when some had only just gotten them, some food came out cold, and to the wrong person, steaks were also cooked wrong, I ordered med/rare and got well done. We only had one waiter he really could have done with more help.

Booked for breakfast yesterday at 10.30 am. Coffee took 25 mins to arrive. Food arrived an hour later. Only one poor waitress and the lovely man sorting out the drinks. It wasn't even very busy. Come on Bella Italia. Get more staff !!!

Went to your restaurant in Leicester Square a few time ago and didn't like the calzone pizza. I decided to give you a second chance last night at your restaurant in Baldwin street, Bristol, and it was the worst Italian food I have ever had in my life same goes for my boyfriend, who was close to complain about the food - I'm not exaggerating. The cotto pizza was like any other frozen cheap pizza you can get from the supermarket. It lacked on ingredients and it was really small. The pasta wasn't much better either, the sauce was OK but the penne wasn't cook enough and dry, it wasn't mixed with pasta. Both of them gluten free options which I understand they can't taste as good as the regular option but it wasn't just that. Poor presentation, as soon as we saw our meals, we knew they wouldn't be delicious. The meals clearly looked like they were not made with love, it was just food thrown in a plate. I won't come back to any of your restaurants anymore and surprises me that your restaurant was busy last night after the poor quality of your food - it is not like your prices are low, they are average and the food should at least taste fine but not even close to that.

Well what can I say.....Myself and my partner walked in to be greeted by front of house on his mobile ( later to come in the story ) he looked at us carried on with his text and then another member of staff ( lovely ) came to show us to a our seats...we ordered our food with the courteous member of staff and we were stunned by the speed of our food made its way to our table, I said to my partner having worked in the catering business myself to check the middle of the food straight away....well not only was my meal stone cold in the middle so was my partners !!! I called over the lovely member of staff,who then called over the Mr front of house who was on his phone earlier, I explained about both meals being cold and without even asking what we wanted to do he whipped the meals away ordering staff to redo our meals, I then asked him to our table to explain that we did not want to have our meals reheated and then fore mentioned about his rudeness at our arrival ! He then got his guard up saying he was texting another restaurant, regardless of this I explained that it wasn’t good enough and front of house was paramount in customer service!

To cut this long story short, we ended up in somewhere we don’t normally go....McDonald’s where it was hot and the service was excellent!!!

Waitied an hour to get served a drink . Took an hour to sort bill as could itemise bill for drinks but didn't on food . Table of 22 It was my goddaughters 18 th birthday and ruined her special night . Staff sorting bill were totally incompetent . Feel so sorry for my goddaughter . 😡🙈

Unfortunately the long wait did nothing to improve the quality of the food. The risotto was very dry and seemed like it had been kept warm under a hot lamp for some time. Pizza filled a hole but was nothing special.



Even though we used £40 of our Tesco vouchers the bill for 2 adults and 2 tiny kids meals was very much on the high side.



We made it clear we weren't happy and we were offered only a single free drink (for our party of 4, not really enough given that we'd bought several drinks each while waiting.



As we left Bella our children were overtired and upset due to the excessively long wait time, spoiling what had been an otherwise perfect day.



Needless to say we won't be going back and will save our money for something worthwhile.

Only gave it one star because you can't give it NO stars!!! Terrible service food awful, hair in the coleslaw, rock hard chicken and left for over half an hour at a time from being given the menu until taking our order and that was after we called them back to the table! Will NEVER eat here again. In fact will probably not venture into any Bella Italia again!

Food and service was brilliant..best Bella I've been to so far..menu was very nice too ..

The food was delicious. The portions were a little small

Staff were great and the menu varied. It wasn't very busy which I liked because our drinks and meals arrived quickly but we did go on a Monday night so that might explain it. The portion sizes are reasonable, I only ordered a main and couldn't even finish it. Would go again, possibly as a big group xo

I visited with my husband and another couple. Being Gluten Intolerant I called ahead and made sure they could cater for me. When we arrived I was immediately told they me they didn't have ANY gluten free pizzas left (6 30pm on a Sat night!) So my choice was very limited. When I enquired into how well the food was prepared to avoid cross contamination the waitress told me they couldn't guarantee anything and basically it was the risk I would have to take! I ended up having a pieces of grilled chicken and chips which was nice. I felt Bella Italia isnt interested in customers who have any form of needs which is ironic when Southern Italy are actually pretty great at catering for gluten intolerance. I don't think I will be going back.

Good food, nice atmosphere, things that let our party down, slow service, waited ages for drinks and food, when they did arrive there was too much confusion, some people had finished theirs when some had only just gotten them, some food came out cold, and to the wrong person, steaks were also cooked wrong, I ordered med/rare and got well done. We only had one waiter he really could have done with more help.

Booked for breakfast yesterday at 10.30 am. Coffee took 25 mins to arrive. Food arrived an hour later. Only one poor waitress and the lovely man sorting out the drinks. It wasn't even very busy. Come on Bella Italia. Get more staff !!!

Went to your restaurant in Leicester Square a few time ago and didn't like the calzone pizza. I decided to give you a second chance last night at your restaurant in Baldwin street, Bristol, and it was the worst Italian food I have ever had in my life same goes for my boyfriend, who was close to complain about the food - I'm not exaggerating. The cotto pizza was like any other frozen cheap pizza you can get from the supermarket. It lacked on ingredients and it was really small. The pasta wasn't much better either, the sauce was OK but the penne wasn't cook enough and dry, it wasn't mixed with pasta. Both of them gluten free options which I understand they can't taste as good as the regular option but it wasn't just that. Poor presentation, as soon as we saw our meals, we knew they wouldn't be delicious. The meals clearly looked like they were not made with love, it was just food thrown in a plate. I won't come back to any of your restaurants anymore and surprises me that your restaurant was busy last night after the poor quality of your food - it is not like your prices are low, they are average and the food should at least taste fine but not even close to that.

Well what can I say.....Myself and my partner walked in to be greeted by front of house on his mobile ( later to come in the story ) he looked at us carried on with his text and then another member of staff ( lovely ) came to show us to a our seats...we ordered our food with the courteous member of staff and we were stunned by the speed of our food made its way to our table, I said to my partner having worked in the catering business myself to check the middle of the food straight away....well not only was my meal stone cold in the middle so was my partners !!! I called over the lovely member of staff,who then called over the Mr front of house who was on his phone earlier, I explained about both meals being cold and without even asking what we wanted to do he whipped the meals away ordering staff to redo our meals, I then asked him to our table to explain that we did not want to have our meals reheated and then fore mentioned about his rudeness at our arrival ! He then got his guard up saying he was texting another restaurant, regardless of this I explained that it wasn’t good enough and front of house was paramount in customer service!

To cut this long story short, we ended up in somewhere we don’t normally go....McDonald’s where it was hot and the service was excellent!!!

Waitied an hour to get served a drink . Took an hour to sort bill as could itemise bill for drinks but didn't on food . Table of 22 It was my goddaughters 18 th birthday and ruined her special night . Staff sorting bill were totally incompetent . Feel so sorry for my goddaughter . 😡🙈

Very disappointed with this restaurant. A very long wait for food (an hour and a half). Our poor children (1 and 5) were so patient but even this was too much for them. Only on complaining to the waiter did the food start to arrive.



Unfortunately the long wait did nothing to improve the quality of the food. The risotto was very dry and seemed like it had been kept warm under a hot lamp for some time. Pizza filled a hole but was nothing special.



Even though we used £40 of our Tesco vouchers the bill for 2 adults and 2 tiny kids meals was very much on the high side.



We made it clear we weren't happy and we were offered only a single free drink (for our party of 4, not really enough given that we'd bought several drinks each while waiting.



As we left Bella our children were overtired and upset due to the excessively long wait time, spoiling what had been an otherwise perfect day.



Needless to say we won't be going back and will save our money for something worthwhile.

Only gave it one star because you can't give it NO stars!!! Terrible service food awful, hair in the coleslaw, rock hard chicken and left for over half an hour at a time from being given the menu until taking our order and that was after we called them back to the table! Will NEVER eat here again. In fact will probably not venture into any Bella Italia again!
