i dont understand how some people have put this place as 1* unless we were just lucky on all 3 days we went on bank holiday. The staff were very polite and we were seen to straight away as we walked in, the food was fantastic and im a very picky person. Next time we are in Manchester i will definitely be eating here again and will be recommending the place.

User

Went for lunch while visiting from Belfast and had a great experience. Food was beautiful and the staff were very pleasant - the lunch time deal of 2 courses for under £10 was great value & I will definitely visit again when I'm back in Manchester

User

We had a lovely meal last night here.

The waiter was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Starters nice and main meal good size. Not rushed and not slow. Good experience.

User

Myself and my Fiancé visited here on 30/10/2018, and we were served by Steve. He was really attentive and was kind enough to bring us a glass of Prosecco each for our anniversary. The food was beautiful, and we’d both like to make not of how kind and lovely the staff were, Steve in particular. Thank you for helping make our anniversary so lovely.

User

My husband and I went in here yesterday, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were escorted to a table, our server came straight away we ordered drinks and they were brought strait away. We ordered our food and didn’t have to wait to long before it came we enjoyed it very much.

I went to Bella Italia, Manchester Piccadilly branch, yesterday for the first time. I would not normally feel comfortable oing into a restaurant on my own but had been hospital visiting; had a long and difficult day and just did not feel like cooking when I got home. I received a lovely, warm welcome from Adrian and Stephen who were just lovely, going that extra mile to ensure my visit was an extremely pleasant one and my special dietary requirements were met. In fact, it was such a lovely experience, I returned today on my way home from the hospital, where I received a lovely, warm welcome from Carolina and Alex who also went that extra mile to make me feel welcome. On each occasion, the food has been delicious (I've had both the Lenticcie and the Risotto Funghi and can thoroughly recommend both) but it's the staff and outstanding service that makes Bella Italia in Piccadilly so special.

User

Had a fab pre birthday meal on Tues. Service from everyone was great. Stephen went out of his way and brought out a piece of brownie with happy birthday written on the plate.

User

My husband and I had a lovely meal at lunch time the waitress was lovely and the food was delicious I'm gluten free and there was a good choice would go back again

User

It wasn't the best Bella I've been into (and we have tried a few around the country) but there was nothing to complain about.

Food was hot, service good, had to ask for drink top ups but that's normal in most places.

My only issue really was the toilets, it was a long climb up the stairs!!!!!!!

User

waited a while for our meals... and when it did arrive it was just warm/cold on the top but plate underneath was hot.. think they forgot to bring it out thats why we waited so long..

User

Went for early dinner as was volunteering at an event in Manchester later that evening. Service ok staff friendly enough. Toilets are tiny amd there's a funny musty smell in them. Had a dipping bread starter to share which was nice. I had lamb ragu which was cool when it arrived so had obviously been on the pass for a while. My friends chicken pasta dish looked congealed. My pasta was either soggy or seriously undercooked (and I don't mean al dente either as I normally make my own pasta al dente). Plus almost 8 quid for a large glass of wine! Can get better tasting bottles of sauvignon blan in aldi for £5.50! Thank goodness we had a money off voucher. Will stick to zizzi a few doors up in future

User

Went for breakfast. First day breakfast was lovely it was well cooked and hot. Staff serving very friendly. Second day we went breakfast Luke warm. Ordered scrambled egg which was rather cold. There was only one other customer in so really no excuse, however again staff where friendly. Overall it was OK for what we got just ensure it's a bit warmer please. The tea and coffee was very nice.

User

We always try to visit this place when in Manchester it was very busy as was Manchester but they did squeeze us in . Our food was really nice and the service was good considering the place had been rammed when we popped in 30 mins previously to book a table.

User

Visited yesterday was ok but not as good as the bella in Edinburgh , I had chicken burger but it didn't taste of anything at all it was bland just as well we had an offer code for Bogof main course

User

Came in yesterday with friends(6 in all) and my 9 year old daughter, waited ages to order drinks then waiter only 3 of the 4 we ordered, waited ages again before they took our food order, then waited ages again for food to arrive, my daughter ordered garlic bread for her starter and we ordered one to share, daughters was like a biscuit rather than bread!! Mains we ok when they finally arrived ended up cancelling desserts as waited too long, then had a mare with the bill, definitely would not recommend

User

Waited over 20 minutes to order our breakfast after asking twice to have our order taken, table of 14 and a table of 2 ordered before we did and they came in after us, we was sat opposite the bar so no excuses, as it was my Birthday we was going to have Champagne or an expensive bottle of prossecco so there loss, we walked out in the end and won't be back ever, very poor service for paying customers!!!

User

Terrible service. First of all, me and my partner was stood waiting for a table for a while. Our server ‘Tony’ seemed he didn’t want to serve us. Me and my partner waited a good 15 minutes for someone to take our order.

The server also forgot to ask see if we wanted some drinks. Once me and my partner ordered we thought everything would be alright.

However, we ordered a starter and a main. Next thing we know. Some what 25 minutes later the food comes out for it to be our mains.

Upon saying we ordered a starter, the lady advised us nothing was rang through the till. My partner ordered her meal without mushrooms and guess what come in the middle of her plate. Mushrooms. I must add, the food was freezing and the plates hot. (Clearly heated plates up).

She then had to scoop these off her meal. No one asked us if everything was alright or if there was anything they could get us.

We had our meals and decided to leave. Upon asking for the bill, it took 15 minutes for someone to bring the receipt over and it took a further 15 minutes to pay for the order.

However ‘Tony’ served a couple next to us and asked them if he could get them anything and apologised for the wait for their food.

My partner ended up getting up and going to the bar to pay for the meal.

By far the worst meal and horrendous customer service I have ever encountered.

User

Terrible food burger was dry, chips were cold. Service was poor. When they arrived with the dessert it was far to hot for human consumption I actually burnt my tongue. Will not be going ever again if I could give no stars I would!!!!!!

User

Came in with my family for a Saturday evening meal. My autistic sister in law was choosing a straw from the pot on the bar. At this point a staff member with black hair and a goatee beard came over and with no greeting rudely snapped at my sister in law for touching the straws. If he'd have made his point politely this might have been acceptable, but he proceeded to aggressively scold her for "touching all the straws" and barked "have you booked a table or what?" I took one look around his empty restaurant and the man with no customer service abilities whatsoever stood in front of me and decided to leave. I now have a sister in law in tears and Ask Italian has a table of 5 customers in a restaurant a lot more busy than Bella Italia. This doesn't surprise me considering what passes for service over there. Can't speak for the food but the gentleman who dealt with us put me off going near the place again with his horrible, insensitive attitude. Pathetic.
