An Exciting delivery arrived just as we left last night 😍

I feel the need to do a little write up on the “Russian Manicure”, or also known as “The E File Manicure” or “Machine Manicure they all mean the same thing. I’ve had many people and clients asking me about it. In my opinion I strongly disagree with nail technicians doing this. I would love to hear your opinion and thoughts… Watching the videos that are doing the rounds, it certainly does look satisfying and at a glance makes the nails look completely free of any cuticle, dea...d skin and hangnails etc. The problem here is…..exactly that!!Everything is removed including living cells and ALL the cuticle. Also, what we do not see is the damage it has actually done to the cuticle, sidewalls and proximal fold. All these areas of the nail are there to do a job, to seal and protect the nail and the matrix, where your nail is formed! In my opinion this method of removal, not only leaves abrasions that we can not see but leaves your nails open to infection. Also, it has been reported that client’s cuticles are growing quicker and becoming a lot thicker after this method...I’m not surprised! This is our bodies way of protecting the area!! Do you have a little lump on the finger that you use to write with? Do you have a hard build up of skin on a toe or area of your foot, from either wearing incorrect footwear, or from the way you walk? This is because your body is working on that area to protect it, so forms a barrier. This is the same effect the “Russian Manicure” will have to yours or your client’s nails. I believe that as a Nail Technician, our job is to make our clients nails look nice and healthy, not cause trauma! I believe too many people are jumping on this current trend, without considering the consequences to their clients, or their business. These 3 images show just how different people are doing this technic, from just using the tool around the sidewalls and cuticle, to actually going over their clients skin! I know methods and techniques can change and evolve, but I strongly believe we can improve by simply going back to basics, always do your full research and refer back to your training, before getting swept up by new trends.

Great service and such genuinely nice girls. I have never made time to go and be pampered but decided this year I would. Sharon was so welcoming when I arrived and you could tell not only does she have a passion for what she does but she genuinely cares about her clients. I have been back a few times and plan on making it a regular thing. Thanks again x

Called up today for an 'on the off chance' appointment. Very glad to say you guys could fit me in. Natalie did a great job of my manicure today still so lovely and soft!! Can recommend the opi hand scrub! Will be back!
