Just back from a 6 night stay here. Great site very well kept, facilities are spotless. Lovely welcome from all staff and gave lots of ideas for places to visit. Shop has all basics you would need and will order your paper and fresh bread. Great indoor facilities as well. A nice 15min walk to the wee village. Would highly recommend this site.

We spent 3 nights at this site last week. We had a very enjoyable stay. This was our first visit but we will certainly return. The staff are friendly and helpful. The toilets are clean and have recently been refurbushed. The bus stop is right outside the site.

This is a superb site. We turned up without a booking. The welcome we got was excellent, and they found us a very good pitch, a short walk from the facilities but tucked in a quiet corner. Hard standing pitch with electric was £23.55 (July 2017). The sites shop is really good, including ice creams, cooker gas, portable BBQS as well as local produce including fresh eggs. There's also a library with books and DVDS to rent, buy or swap. The facilities are excellent, and very clean, but unavoidably suffer in the morning from heavy use. Locally there are walks to do, and the village of Bellingham is along the road on a narrow pavement. The site is very popular and can seem a bit crowded, but is actually ok. WiFi is available free of you sign up via the internet. Our mobiles didn't get any signal at all (Talkmobile), and it's a known problem on the local area. I suppose it's a good tech detox. The only drawback was the road outside is popular with motorcycle riders, many with loud exhausts. Luckily they stopped by about 9:30pm.

Personally I didn't like this place. But that's coming from a wild camper.

Everyone just sits in their caravans watching the TV. Not really my cup of tea. Then at 11 it has to be total silence. What's wrong with sitting round camp fires telling stories????

Full of older parents with young kids, and old people.

People spend so much money on a box they set up in a field and sit in.

This place has good facilities, clean bathrooms, nice lounge with a log burning stove, kitchen and games room. There is also a laundry room for those stinky clothes.

It's an easy 15 minute walk into the Village which has a couple of local pubs and a CoOp.

There is a lovely walk to a Waterfall, quite magical when you get to the Waterfall.

Drive a few miles to Scotland and camp in the Wild. But remember to be respectful.

A nice, small well run site. Countryside is lovely and the staff very helpful. Only a short walk to the village and there are walks from the campsite. The only slight downside is the nearness of the road.
