My previous experience with a Volvo dealership in Leeds had not gone well! This resulted in me fighting tooth and nail to return the car and get a full refund. The experience at Bells Volvo was a breath of fresh air!
Great sales service from this dealership, car was exactly as described, no pushy sales pressure.
I knew exactly what I was looking for, right down to the specification, so I no amount of selling was going to change my mind. The salesperson, Daniel Cox, obviously picked up on this as he didn’t attempt to steer me towards any other vehicles and was very friendly.
The deal was done and the following week I traveled down by train and was picked up from Northampton station by Daniel. The car was ready and even had some fuel in for a change! All the paperwork was sorted out over a few cups of coffee and I even got some flowers which went down particularly well with my good lady!!
I can’t recommend them highly enough, great team!

Havng just purchased a vehicle from Bells I can fully reccomend the experience I received. Having previously bought cars from numerous high end dealerships, not always with a positive outcome, i was a little cynical about the whole business. I was dealt with throughout by the same salesman, Dan, who was knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely made you deal that nothing too much of a problem. Having chosen a car I was given what I considered to be a very good deal. I would reccomend Dan, Donna and the manager John, who was not at all pushy when negotiating the final price, warranty etc, to anyone wanting to purchase a Volvo.
Post purchase I have received two follow up calls from Dan making sure that everything lived up to my expectation. I hope that in the future, should I need assistance, Bells continue to provide this high level of service

Bought new t8 XC90 from Bells with full width roof box which was delivered with the box installed. 7 days later when my wife was in France she noticed a crack in the panoramic glass coming from the edge of the glass. The crack continued to extend rearwards. There was no possibility of an impact on the glass due to the roof box and no surface abrasion in the glass.

Called bells who first tried to suggest we hit the glass on parking garage until I explained that the roof box was on and this was not possible. Then they suggested I take it to our local dealer Squire Furneaux in Maidenhead.

I did and the sr technician from Squire Furneaux told me it was definitely a warranty claim, so we booked it in for a warranty repair a week later. I removed the roofbox after seeking his advice.

On bringing the car in for this repair I was called 6 hours later to say that it was impact damage and not covered by warranty.

Bells were no help, with the director suggesting this happened while the car was with us. She spoket to volvo and supported the Squire Furneaux view that this was impact damage, and definitely was “our responsibility”, not theirs.

Volvo takes the word of the sr technician at Squire Furneaux, who’s word is worthless as he lied about what he said to me and changed his view on the nature of the damage from faulty glass or stress to impact damage!

Autoglas expert have directly contradicted the impact damage with the roof box on explanation... simply not possible.

Caught between a rock and a hard place but beware of Panoramic glass on the XC90 and beware of bells motor group who refuse to take responsibility or support their customers even when you’ve just sent them £60K++++

Shocking.

If you want a luxury 7 seater, think twice about buying a Volvo with Panoramic glass and definitely don’t buy from Bells or Squire Furneaux neither of whom places a high priority on customer service and satisfaction.

Very disappointed with Bells Volvo Northampton today. I have been a loyal customer over many years. My husband and I have owner 5 volvos between us, my father inlaw has just bought one and I'm looking to get a new one in August. The bonnet catch sensor is faulty on my XC60 and the alarm goes off randomly. I asked as the car is only 5 years old and although now out of warranty could they offer a good will gesture to help with the cost. The computer said NO, then the manager said NO also. I was also told by the manager on the phone prior to the appointment today I was able to have a free upgrade of my satnav but when I got there today it was going to be £80 to update the software.
NOTE TO FUTURE CUSTOMERS you will not get rewarded in anyway for loyalty.
I will NOT now be buying my new car from Bells.

Pretty much knew what I wanted but staff were friendly and had time to talk through all options. A good deal was had and I have a nice new car as well. I'm sure the other reviews are well founded, but I have to say that this is not my experience.

Called up today about a used vehicle. Was told it was a great car etc. When we arrived it was clear the front bumper, wings and bonnet had been (badly) resprayed. Not only were they slightly off orange on a red car the paint on the bonnet had clearly reacted with the lacquer and could be picked off. Not deterred we entered the showroom to see if there were any other suitable vehicles. We waited, and were completely ignored for 20 minutes...... we walked out after a total of 35 minutes on site without any sales personnel acknowledging us! We walked into the Skoda showroom next door and purchased a car there and then - the experience in the Skoda garage was fantastic!!
