When you think it's only Wednesday VS When you remember it's a bank holiday week and the weekend is only one day away!

User

Our new on-site nursery is opening this September. Enabling children to interact with real farm animals on a regular basis.
Here's what our Nursery Principal had to say: "I believe that the best way we can support children who attend our school to be empathetic, kind, confident individuals is through a learning environment which gives children the opportunity to not only work together but work alone; to make friendships, to take care of animals and to be able to explore the n...atural environment. I believe that if we can successfully do this, then there are no limitations to what the next generation will achieve.”
Alice McNair – Belmont Farm Nursery Principal

On days like today, you need a tractor.
Do your kids prefer tractors or buses?

Did you know?
Females of animal species, generally mammals, lick their offspring after birth. They do this to remove the baby from the amniotic sac, allowing the newborn to breathe freely. In addition to cleaning the newborn's fur, the licking contributes to the bonding between mother and baby.
While licking her newborns after birth, the female is also recognizing their scent. In most mammals, the critical period for bonding between mother and newborn is the first few hours a...fter birth. When after-birth contact between cows and their calves is delayed for five hours, the newborns have a 50 percent chance of being rejected.
This picture was taken when Boris was first born earlier this month.

this was our second visit with the twins 5yrs and Mason 3 yrs, as soon as you walk in your greeted with a smile, the kids had a great time feeding, petting and seeing all of the animals and birds,we even found the goat that bit Indys hand last time so she could tell it off hahahahahaha but as soon as she had she was feeding it and petting it, Mason loves Tractors and had the biggest grin on his face on the tractor ride, the food in the cafe was fantastic, the burgers are the best ive had, all of the staff were great and you could see that they love what they do. I highly recommend a visit its worth it just to see the amazement and smiles on the kids faces.

User

We live not too far away from here & think it's one of Mill Hills little hidden gems for kids, my three year old loves it, being able to pet & feed the animals, the staff are always friendly & helpful. & the food in their waffle cafe is fantastic. A brilliant local day out!

User

Thanks so much for an amazing venue to hire for our son 1st Birthday party!the kids had so much fun and they're fascinated with the interaction with the animals! The staff were very helpful and amazing with the little ones.

User

Our kids had a birthday party at the farm and everyone (kids and adults) had an amazing time. It was well organized with plenty to see and do. Particularly the pony grooming, farm

Tour and animal petting. The food was scrumptious and and all round funfilled afternoon. The kids loved the treasure hunt at the end and we've received plenty of pictures of kids playing with their treasure of rocks and fossils. Best party venue ever. Thank you Amy and Belmont team for organizing the day!

User

My little boy loves the farm, especially feeding the chickens! We go most Sunday's after swimming and it's a real treat! The food in the cafe is really tasty and the portion sizes good!

User

My kids love the farm ! We visit the farm every month and it is a pleasure to return here every time! My son had his birthday party in December 2016 and all 25 children invited had an amazing time ! We had tractor ride for more than 40 minutes, petting session and farm tour and despite the rainy day, it was perfect!

The homemade waffles at the caffee are " the best in town " ! The staff is very friendly and helpful!

Amy is the best !

I highly recommend visiting this farm !

User

Lovely little farm- variety of small and bigger animals makes it really interesting, however would not plan whole day around there.

We went there twice and our kids really love it! Feeding sheeps and goats was the biggest attraction for us. We checked the "day plan" that was at the reception to know what is happening when.

Tractor ride was ok, but we didn't get to see many animals on the fields. The fact being on the tractor ride did the trick for the kids though.

After two visits there- both rather cloudy days with spells of rain I would recommend wellies boots for kids as place is a Farm so mud is what you get.

Belmont Farm has AMAZING view and even our 3,5year old noticed that today! It could benefit from little playground overlooking fields with sheeps and horses in a view. My kids are easily satisfied but waiting 20min for tractor ride would be lot quicker whilst on the swing.

We used colouring pages whilst kids waited for their food at the cafe and that made

Time fly by for everyone - so that's bonus.

We will return and will recommend to others.

User

Had a fab day out! Kiddies loved being able to feed the animals as while as touch them. Waffle cafe on site so we could have a bit to eat. Will definitely visit again and would recommend for all ages even moody teenagers!!

User

Great day out with my family specially my 2 little ones, nephew and nieces. We don't live too far away and we would love to come back sooner. Thanks for your hard work and for making the farm pleasant for the kids to enjoy.

User

Great Farm! Me and my 16 month old had a lovely day together discovering the wide variety of animals. I loved the fact most of the animals are friendly and you can get quite interactive and pet them. Also fantastic idea to sell animal feed on entry so you can go around and feed the animals. All farm staff were super friendly. Cafe was a big dissapointment Im afraid. Food was disgusting. Will be back to the farm very soon, but will skip eating in the cafe :(

User

Been a few times before and came again today and can safely say we love this place as much as we did before! Great little farm, nice well kept animals, clean and tidy and being kept this way continuously through out the day and friendly staff! Big thumbs up from my family :0}

User

An amazingly beautiful and brilliantly run farm. All the staff are very welcoming and polite,in particular Julien. He is a great leader and teacher as my niece has had the priviledge of him teaching her how to care for the various animals, walk them and put them away at the end of the day.Juliens patience and kindness has impressed my niece very much as it has myself and I would like to commend him on being a fantastic role model to the kids,as well as the love and care he and his team show the animals.Truly an excellent employee!...The highlight for my niece was being shown how to teach Splash in particular to learn and follow commands whilst walking her as she loves horses....the hands on approach is truly inspiring and educational and as a result my niece looks forward to going to the farm weekly now to learn more and be involved.Once again Thank you very much to Julien...and his team :-)

User

A very clean farm, well looked after animals and dedicated staff, especially Amy who was brilliant. If we lived nearer I would come here regularly as the selection of animals is great, especially loved the continental giant rabbit who had had babies in June, so cute, tractor ride is brilliant and love the reindeer. Keep up the good work

User

A lovely little place, well run by very friendly staff. Cafe is great too, good coffee and a lovely sausage bap to start the day!

User

A fantastic farm to visit. Compare to other farms where they are smelly when you approach the entrance, this one don't. Staff were polite and friendly and the animals were friendly and polite too! Lol. The children had an amazing day and specifically enjoyed the tractor and trailer ride. Worth recommendable. I can't wait to visit there again.

User

A big thankyou to all the staff at Belmont farm for giving us a lovely day with our young children. Lots of animals, which you can get close to and feed. We had a very nice lunch at the waffle cafe. Would highly recommend this farm for a great day out. We will be back. Thanks again

User

The farm seems to be in the middle of rebuilding and expanding . The animals have much more space now but there seem to be fewer at the moment. The cafe is in what looks like temporary accommodation at the moment so the menu seems limited to toasted sandwiches . However I’m sure once the refurb is complete the farm will be a good day out.

User

It's not very far from my home ...been here few times staff is very friendly and welcoming

Petting session is informative and kids love stroking rabbit and hen ..it's good for few hours entertainment for kids ...

User

Quite disappointed. Very small and not a great variety of animals. Our 2 year old was mildly entertained but the 6 year olds definitely were not. Assumed there would be a play area for them at least. I understand the premise behind the farm of course but as we were paying for a day out with the kids it would have been nice for them to have a bit more to do/ see. The petting area was closed and we didn’t manage to catch any demonstrations, the two people at reception gave us no information so we wouldn’t have known when they were anyway. I think we must have been in and out in less than 45 minutes which is a shame because it took us longer to get the 4 kids ready and out the door than we spent there. Wouldn’t return unfortunately.
