Just a friendly reminder from your local high street agent; don’t forget that as of 1st June 2019 (tomorrow!), neither agents nor landlords are legally allowed to charge any tenancy application fees! In addition to this, deposits will be capped at 5 weeks rent, hopefully making moving home much less of a strain on the wallet!
There are also a number of other changes connected to this new legislation, so please feel free to pop into our office and chat through anyth...ing you’re unsure of.

Dear All, Just a quick friendly warning from your local High Street Agent; we’ve had reports from various parties that certain Facebook users, likely with “fake profiles”, are posing as landlords and using photos/details taken from our website to advertise properties to let, asking for a “refundable deposit” to be paid to them to secure the property. Please do not under any circumstances pay any money to private landlord’s without first meeting with them at the property! Idea...lly you should ask for I.D. & proof of ownership i.e. copy of the Title Deeds, as sadly there are quite a few “con-artists” around, even in little old Hereford! If you are ever concerned by a post like this then it would be wise to contact a few of the larger agencies in Hereford to ask about the property, just in case it’s actually on with an agent. If in doubt, don’t pay out! Take care, all.
