Benchill Community Centre

The aim of Benchill Community Centre as an organisation is to promote the benefit of residents within the Benchill ward of the Manchester City Council areas and the surrounding neighbourhood, by bringing together residents, community, voluntary and other organisations to improve education, relieve poverty and promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing. We provide facilities for social welfare, leisure and recreational interests with the aim of improving conditions of life for residents. The commitment of local residents and support from partner organisations (including the local housing group) has enabled the Centre to offer a welcoming, fully accessible, open, non-judgemental facility for local residents and their families. It provides the opportunity to raise potential, develop skills and increase levels of community involvement (including the management and day-to-day running of the Centre). The use of the Centre is diverse, from children's activities and sports to employment and skills training to sessions for older people and those with additional needs.
