Benchmark Fitness Ltd Description

Welcome to Benchmark Fitness Ltd, I aim to create Benchmarks in your strength, endurance, cardio and of course body shape. The work outs will be tough but enjoyable, the sessions will be both outside and In, we will be using items such as Barbells, Dumbells, Battle Ropes, Skipping, Sit Up Mats, boxing and of course your own body weight. Let me help you through work outs and nutrition to get you the results you want.

Type of mindsets towards health
The procrastinator : always says I'm going to start on Monday or I need to get this month out of the way first or half term, im so busy at work. (the start date always pushed back).
The spiral : always says they are tired, I have no energy, I feel weak. I've put on so much weight. (likes to state what's wrong but won't listen to advice or make life decisions until too late)
... The deniar. These people are overweight unfit eat unhealthy, but say they are happy and we should be happy for them.(Have a different mirror to the rest of us)
The knowledgeable incompetent : you know these persons by the fact they know every form of exercise have competed so they say will tell you what you should be doing and how you should be doing it, however most of them appear on YouTube under gym fails.
The statistician : these people do habitual exercises ie 50 lengths in the pool, runs 5 miles a day, week, never time themselves never push themselves, 3 times a week gym doing exactly the same work outs.
The indicator: starts, stops starts stops very inconsistent with working out because doesn't like to commit, blames everything else why they can't work out.
The abdicator: gives up as soon as a sneeze happens or a headache, when a muscle ache happens its the worst thing in the whole world and need a month off.
The excuser: knows they should lose weight, know they need to get fitter, bu there will always be a reason (valid in their mind) why they can't make a session, instead of making their health the most important focus.

Most people think you can't work out in the cold, that it's a great excuse to not go those are the same people that moan their not fit enough or got the body that they want by holiday season. Doesn't stop the determined!

A list of the top 10 excuses made by clients/people that can't make a session: 10. It's too cold 9. I broke my thumb getting off a sunlounger. 8. It's too hot, I don't like sweating 7. I think I've got the start of a cold (what are you symptoms), I sneezed... 6. I'm not allowed to sweat I've just had my eyebrows done. 5. Tell what the session is and I will let you know if I can make it 4. I'm not fit enough to join (have you joined anything) no. 3. I ache too much from last session 2. Starting out Kevin's boot camp in January I've dropped down 2 sizes and fitness has improved substantially. Body fat % metabolic age reduced in 5 months! Last week I completed a 56km walk/run in the London to Brighton challenge in good time. This was possible thanks to all the workouts and motivation. His encouraging attitude makes you push that much extra. Every workout is varied and challenging with a mix of cardio, strength training. With the right equipment in the marquee for all the exercises especially weight training. A big thumbs up to his bootcamp �

Really enjoy the workouts that kevin gives. All body workouts mixing it up with strength, core and cardio exercies. Don't worry he has a marquee when it rains:)

I started with Kevin around 5 weeks ago now, after deciding I wanted to get back in to shape after having my second baby. I can honestly say it's the best thing I have done. Kevin pushes you more than you know you can go. The support he gives you really gives you that push when you need it. I have started my exercise sessions with Kevin in March 2017. Now 6 months later I can honestly say it’s best investment I have made for myself. I always thought that being I’m size 8 I’m also fit. I was so wrong. I used get tired very easily and didn’t have energy to look after my 2 year old. I have always enjoyed keeping fit but did loose my routine when the local gym had closed. Almost one year passed by without finding a suitable alternative but then I was introduced to Kevin's boot camp sessions! WOW ! It became a way of life , providing me with all round body exercise from morning or evening sessions ….or both if I was really daring! Kevin's routines are tiring yet fun and different each time. I have always been sceptical about using a personal trainer. Especially what difference could someone make to myself and was it really worth the money.



I perceived myself as fit because I go to the gym three times a week, even though I drink at least a glass of wine a day with my evening meal and have a bmi 34 which I have realised defines me as Obese.



Then for one week I decided to use the services of Kevin of Benchmark Fitness. Wow! What a difference this guy can make to you. Kevin genuinely cared.

He did a full body assessment and a personalised meal plan that included lunch. For the first time I actually stuck to the meal plan. Kevin has an amazing way of keeping you focused.

Every day the sessions were varied and pushed me further.



After 5 days the results were amazing. At the beginning of the week I was 87.2kg with a 34bmi five days later I am now 84.3kg with a 33.2bmi. That's nearly half a stone!



I have far more energy and have stopped the binge eating of late night deserts and bottles of wine.



I’ll still be treating myself but having the mind set “ I’ll start tomorrow” that never happens has stopped. As Kevin say " Treat yourself but earn it".
