Benjamin Thornber and Sons Ltd (1815) celebrates 200 years of textiles this year with the launch of Pendle Tweed - Throstle Bank Mill collection.
Seven generations of Thornbers have carried on the family tradition from Throstle Bank Mill in Burnley, to Deanfield Works in Clitheroe.
Pendle Tweed has provenance and heritage, dating back over 400 years to the Pendle Witches who were carders and spinners of wool for the local hand loom weavers.
Pendle Tweed is exclusive to Benjamin Thornber and Sons Ltd, it is the finest British Tweed, created by textile Master Craftsmen, using wool from British Sheep, shorn, carded, spun, woven and finished in the United Kingdom.
The Tweeds are innovative, beautiful in design and colour with an outstanding soft handle and a wonderful drape for apparel.
