Sadly the rain dance didn't work here at Bennington! Due to the large cracks and hard ground conditions, we are cancelling our driving event on Sunday. The next scheduled event is 9th September and we are now taking entries, spectators welcome.

Top tips from Bennington whilst driving in this sunny weather
☀️ Keep your horse cool when driving and carry water on board the carriage for those long drives ☀️ Keep your carriage covered up or in the shade at events. ☀️ If you are lucky enough to drive your Bennington on the beach or in the sea, rinse the carriage immediately and check/ re grease the bearings... ☀️As for drivers and passengers, don’t forget your sun cream and drink plenty of fluids ☀️Oh and don’t forget an ice cream stop

Our daughter Sophie had a fabulous driving experience for her 12th birthday, loved every minute and left feeling inspired. We are all looking forward to future visits and would recommend Sue’s expertise to anyone interested in this sport.

I've learned so much in the few times I've been to benningtons and am very keen to learn and experience more.

I have learnt a lot at Bennington's from the Taster Day last April and the course of five lessons with Sue to the Show Preparation Day in April and the Mini and Shetland fun day today. It's become a home from home :)

Had an amazing morning watching Sue take my mother for a carriage driving lesson for a special birthday treat. Sue is a great teacher, very encouraging and the gorgeous Dylan was wonderful. Highly recommend and we hope to make a return visit sometime.

Brilliant friendly people with tons of Knowledge and experience and top of the spec carriages the dinky driving day was brill very relaxed day with refreshments laid on and brill showroom to look round had a great time xx
