I am pleased to announce that my team and I are going to be re-opening the old Queen's Head pub on Churchgate Street, as the new and improved Queens Bar & Grill!
The bar will be serving good wine, cocktails and local beers.
... On the food side of things we'll be serving up an American inspired grill menu including burgers, ribs and nibbles.
There will be some live music, regular events and we'll be showing select sports.

Went out for a meal last night and as with every time we have ever eaten at Ben's it was fantastic. The staff are helpful and friendly, the menu is innovative, varied with game options available and quality local produce, served brilliantly. I have heard people say it's on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and the food is well worth it, had my 40th birthday meal last year and all 12 of us were really impressed. Thank you, will be back soon

We have been meaning to visit for ages, since being given a leaflet at the Bury st Edmunds farmers market one weekend some time ago, today we decided to make sure to go and they did not disappoint. From the starters to the desert everything was worth it. I would highly recommend the beef teriyaki as it was amazing, the beef was tender and very very tasty, I can honestly say I have not had beef that good in a long time.



Nice service, not rushed and very friendly. Comfortable seating, plenty of space between tables.



To summarise, lovely atmosphere, tasty food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices.



Well worth a visit and we will definitely be visiting again very soon, this may even become a regular thing for us.

Thank you so much for helping to make my Mum’s 80th Birthday celebrations on Friday such a success. The food was absolutely gorgeous and your service was faultless. Very, very impressive.

So pleased I have finally been for a meal in this fabulous restaurant and it was certainly worth the wait. The food was delicous and the staff were welcoming and provided great service. I hope I can visit again soon.

Our first visit and we were absolutely amazed at the service,friendliness ,incredible cuisine,and as a disabled customer a ramp was provided to have access to the restaurant . Overall we were completely satisfied ,(the toilet facilities could be a little bit more disabled friendly) but other than that we we’re wowed and will definitely return when we’re not rushing to get to the theatre.😄 We’ll Be more relaxed on our next visit and will sample the desserts too. I had pheasant Kiev,delicious.

Many fantastic gluten free options, and everything was delicious.

Last night I had the black pudding starter but the duck egg yolk wasn’t runny and spoiled it, to dry with out it, the lamb cutlet was nice but only one cutlet! Come on, bulked up with a dish of rice and more veg, not good, 2 out of 5 I’m afraid.

Just had a surprise lunch here having never heard of it before, it was delicious!! As it was my birthday they made a little extra effort with the dessert as well which was well appreciated. We will definitely be back next time in B.S.E

I’ve wanted to visit Bens for ages - it was worth the wait. With a lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff we had a gorgeous meal. Personally I had the pidgeon breast/butternut risotto followed by the hake main meal. If I lived locally I’d visit more!

Have been to Ben’s a few times most recently for a 70th birthday. They were more than accommodating and cooked dishes not on the menu after speaking to them before hand. Excellent quality of food and great staff. Look forward to returning!

Great healthy ingredients. Prepared, cooked and served superlatively. Very friendly and professional staff. Super value for money. My favourite restaurant in Bury St Edmunds. Every time I visit the town, it’s my preferred place for supper.

As a competition winner I felt that the very least I could do was write a review. With that being said I've been to Bens on three occasions before and my review wouldn't be any different.



Each and every time I've been to Bens the food has been exceptional. Neither me or any member of family I've been with has ever had a bad course. It's always cooked perfectly and it's very clear that Ben and his staff put a lot of care into their dishes.



Last night me and my girlfriend where lucky enough to try out the new Surf n Turf. It was fantastic! Great tasting lobster, gorgeously tender beef, chips, mushrooms.. what more could you want!?



I love the variation in dishes too. Although you won't be going there for a burger or pizza, I can say with confidence that each time you go you'll be trying something exciting and new. Every dish is designed with imagination and careful thought.



On top of all this, the decor fits perfectly and is very welcoming and comfortable. There's a lovely relaxed vibe in the restaurant. Ben and his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.



Being from a farming career myself it's fantastic to see how Ben has made advantage of his family farm to help stock his own restaurant with great quality meats. I really have to try the bangers soon!



If I had to pick one criticism, and believe me I'm really having to think for it, it never hurts to have a chocolatey desert haha.

Amazing roast lunch here! Such a lot of beautifully cooked and flavoursome food. Faultless in my eyes and I’m a very fussy person when it comes to a roast.

Will definitely return again soon.
