There is a dangerous difference between following orders and following your conscience… When two young marines are accused of killing another member of their unit, brash young Navy lawyer Daniel Kaffee is charged with defending them. When he joins forces with Joanne Galloway, a Special Counsel for Internal Affairs with high ambitions, they are confronted with complex issues of duty, justice, loyalty and conspiracies in an explosively tense murder trial. Berkhamsted Theatre Company present the epic musical love story, CHESS. Written in 1984 by ABBA songwriters Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus alongside Tim Rice, CHESS is a story of love and political intrigue set against the backdrop of the Cold War in the 1980’s.
Berkhamsted Theatre Company are proudly supporting Rays of Sunshine as our 2018 charity partner. To find out more about why BTC are supporting this charity visit our website www.berkhamstedtheatre.co.uk

CASTING OPPORTUNITY
Rehearsals are well under way for this year’s BTC musical…CHESS!
We have however still got one part to cast…... We’re looking for a talented fella who can sing Bass-Baritone (down to G sharp) to play the ever so lovable marketing agent Walter de Courcey – seemingly respectable & trustworthy but secretly a manipulative CIA agent.
We needn’t tell you how much fun we have, or how we are award winning 😉
So if you, or anyone else you know is interested get in touch with Ruth Salsbury (production manager) via email BTCproductionteam@outlook.com or Direct message on facebook.

WOW! Mesmerised for 3 hours!

Friends who ‘get’ my undying love for lighthearted musical theatre will be surprised that I am struggling to find enough superlatives to describe how I feel having just had the absolute ‘pleasure’ of watching BTC’s production of #TheCrucible tonight.

I can’t even begin to describe the depth of emotion portrayed by the phenomenal cast, the staging was innovative and very effective, the photography and movement outstanding, the mood evocative and I feel quite drained!

Ruth - I hope you are truly proud - you deserve to be - if you can ‘move’ a hardened bubblegum musicaltheatregoer like me - with a play like ‘that’ - #nailedit!

Totally blatant shoutout for awesome performancesKatharyn Cerys Sarah Kike Pauline #witchesnotbitches and John ‘I’m not a day over 50’ Asher...

To the rest of the cast - truly breathtaking work - loved it - massive congratulations and enjoy your final night tomorrow - I hope you play to a total sell out crowd - your talent deserves it!!

I came to watch All Shook Up last night and was thoroughly impressed, I'd not seen anything from your group previously but will be sure to get tickets for upcoming shows. The main cast were very good, some very talented singers in particular the two lead females (sorry I forget the names; the Mechanic and Museum manager) and the ensemble/chorus were very good, some impressive dancing and it's always good to see a nice mix between young and shall we say more seasoned cast members :)

Bravo! Hope your final few nights go just as well.
