Berkshire Maestros, Reading & Caversham Music Centre Description
The Reading Music Centre is based at Stoneham Court (within Prospect School). The centre benefits from excellent facilities with 4 large ensemble rooms and 11 teaching rooms with pianos
The centre is a buzzing environment with high quality music education at its heart, providing many young people with a safe and friendly environment to learn and make new friends.
We provide lessons after school and at the weekends in a wide range of instruments and styles to suit all (subject to availability).
Lessons are fun and interactive and provide children with the skills and knowledge to become excellent musicians. Sessions are tailored to individual needs and can build up to music examinations or simply focus on the enjoyment of playing.
As well as lessons, music centres provide an opportunity for young musicians to join a wide variety of musical ensembles /bands. These range from early years classes with Mini Maestros through beginner bands to the most advanced ensembles in each area.
These ensembles provide a perfect opportunity for young musicians to enjoy playing as part of a team, improving and enhancing many areas of their learning. Ensembles also provide a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to come together to share a joint passion and create new friendships within this safe and fun environment.

We have a few spaces on our Mini Maestros Live Music sessions on Saturday mornings at Reading Music Centre. Exciting, fun, well paced and engaging sessions. Our staff currently in Paris are up bright and early checking out Jardin de Luxembourg which is where Reading Symphonic Wind Orchestra and Holst will be playing on 25th July - just imagine the sun and lots of people creating a fantastic atmosphere!
