Bernie'S Kitchen Description
Cookery has very much been part of my life as long as I can remember. Childhood memories of growing up in my Mum and Dads pub and restaurant, from about the age of 10 I loved to help out the cooks and chefs. By the age of 14 I was fully converse with all the aspects of a professional kitchen and was promoted to 2nd chef in the school holidays.
Before I knew it in my 20's I was travelling all over the world, my eyes wide open to all different cultures and amazing foods.
From then I embarked on the journey of married life with Mike and we had four children and a homemaker I had become. Somehow I managed during that time when the children were small to go to University to do a management course and then onto college and became a qualified chef.
During my married life somehow I became the person who people would turn to and ask to cater for Christenings, Big Birthday parties and Weddings and I just loved it.
The kitchen has always been the heart our home, the place that can be a hive of activity from cooking Sunday lunch for 14 one minute to a tranquil place for one, waiting for the lemon drizzle to come out of the oven with all those lovely lemony cake aromas filling the house.
I have always wanted to help people to cook and to enjoy delicious home cooked food and I have decided now is the time - so there you have it, the start of Bernie's weekend Cookery Lessons and Demonstrations that will suite all abilities. From simple courses to more advanced and even how to prep for the week when eating healthily on a health and fitness program.
