Bert’S Pizzeria & Café

Great venue, shame about the food, I've had better pizza from Iceland! I was expecting a typical Italian pizza, instead the meat was cubed and had been processed, the cheese was tasteless and the tomatoe topping was from a cheap jar. Will not be visiting again! The chefs need to visit a real Italian restaurant and see how pizza should be prepared and cooked.

Disappointing calamari, undercooked batter and nondescript taste. Ravioli, which on a previous visit had been excellent, was a greasy mass of square goblets of pasta, no filling and again without any taste. A really poor meal

Food was nice, watch out for the lake when driving in the dark. It probably has lovely views on a summer evening.

Quite disappointing... starters was OK. Blue cheese and mushroom bruschetta was packed full of rich garlic flavour so quite over powering but tasty all the same. But the laughable mains... as per their menu, they claim to make their pasta dishes with linguine "the true Italian way" but instead of linguine they use egg noodles. It looked like someone had ate a Chinese and then vomited it back in the bowl. Didn't enjoy eating it so ate some garlic bread instead. I'm not sure how a restaurant can get away with stating linguine on the menu but serve egg noodles, especially at the prices they charge. I'd have sent it back if in wasn't in such a large group and if we weren't feeling the pressure to hurry up. Won't be rushing back and if I do happen to visit... I'll stick to the pizzas... they're were only the thing that looks Italian and decent enough to eat.
