Bessingby Mews

Well, last week some of our gorgeous return guests gave me wine - this week we had the return of the giant cornish pasty - with its owners. Here is a photo - and, yes, that's a big dinner plate :-) More of the plate is visible on the second photo! And I've heard the magic words 'cheese scones' mentioned. Let me say here, publicly - Jon, you are a hero. And whilst Jon is busy in the kitchen, his fabulous wife, Christine, is creating fabulous wreaths from a brokem whopper of a branch, from one of our trees - photos of that to follow. Can I just say, if you want to meet a host of fabulous people, have holiday cottages :-D

Just wanted to send a huge 'thank you' to some favourite guests, who have just stayed for a week. When they arrived, they presented me with a bottle of wine - and when they left, they presented me with another. They sure know how to help me relax, after a busy Saturday :-) Thank you so much, Michael and Loveday.

I usually like to post about what I've bought for the Mews - and this week it's to say there are new neighbours - some new chickens, so, from now on, we should be offering fresh, free range eggs to all our guests

For our animal loving guests we have both Sewerby hall zoo and Bridlington birds of prey within 4 miles - birds of prey centre less than a mile away

I was telling one of the guests that each week I try to buy something for the Mews - and she suggested I post a picture of each new item - so, here goes. This week I've installed a day bed in to the master bedroom at the Mews, so now it sleeps up to 12 people :-) Here's what it looks like

Well, the Christmas decorations have all been put away, the prizewinner has booked their free week and you probably think that's the last you'll hear of Christmas, for a good few months - wrong! A winner is announced :-) I counted the Christmas decorations as they went up - lost count and so double checked when I took them all down again - and result was that I put 924 decorations up - and the person closest was @Samantha Anne Chester. Well done Samantha and you can claim your free week in any of the three cottages, any time up to Easter. Do send me a Facebook message to arrange availability. Must say, the place did look magical with all the decorations up - and I still had two big storage boxes of decorations and ran out of time to put them up :-D

just back from 5 nights over xmas at bessingby news with all my family ! absolutely fantastic for a larger family --- 11 of us --- plenty of seating for everyone in the super cosy lounge and round the lovely dining table! beds where so comfy even the little ones slept in � very clean and Sarah was so helpful and friendly ! even bringing pressies on xmas morning ! absolutely wonderful highly recommended!! will certainly be back x

We have had a wonderful week away in Cupid's cottage.

We both enjoyed ourselves in our little cottage, didn't want to give it back.

Everything we needed or had forgotten​ was there for us.

A nice touch of milk and biscuits for our first cup of tea on arrival.

Thank you Sarah and Carol for the great welcome and hospitality, your advice on where to go and what to see is priceless.

Highly recommended to stay in any of your cottages, we will be booking a return trip for next year. Martin and Sharon.

We have come back from our 2nd annual trip with family.10 of us and the dog, we had a wonderful time in the main house. A lovely welcome to start the week. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Sarah. Everything we needed was there for us,very well equipped, a lovely garden and a great place in easy serving distance of many places around Brid.

Today is a sad day we are having to leave the big house after a wounderful week were the hosts can not do enough for you

Thank you for a wonderful holiday in Brid! We loved the roomy and well equipped Mews house, perfect for our various family visits and parties and are hoping to come again. By far the best house we have rented over the years, no detail was left out and the quiet natural location was a dream.

Superb cottages in a great little rural country village. However close enough to shops and Bridlington!

Lovely people who are extremely helpful and kind.

Very hospitable and professional.

Just want to say a big thankyou to Sarah and Andy . They were so helpful during our week stay . We were there to play in the European Pool Championships and they could not have done anymore to make our stay more comfortable . Beautiful house fantastic location and lovely people

Just arrived home from the loveliest week away in the mews ! Fantastic place to stay with beautiful surroundings and even a pint on milk on arrival ! Very well equipped and comfortable. 6 adults , 4 children and 2 dogs and still had plenty of room ! Lots of lovely things to do in the area and a lovely garden which the kids loved to explore ! Lovely time had by all �

Highly recommend the Bessingby Mews. 6 adults, 4 children and a dog...with amples of space in The Mews. The kitchen is a great size, plenty of showers, so no queuing. Fabulous rural location just a short drive to the beach. Can't leave a review without mentioning Sarah who is a legend!

First of all I would just like to say that the whole of Bessingby Mews are a credit to the owners and the work they put into them we have just stayed in Cupid's Cottage for 7 nights a really nice warm and cosy place it is too the back area of the property has a wonderful large gated garden for ours and other guests dogs to have a run.I have saved the best till last the host...Sarah must be the best host I have ever met she has everything spot on she leaves no stone unturned in making your stay wonderful even got a card and present for my birthday whilst there helpful isn't the word she was outstanding in what she did and suppose continue to do.Once again many thanks it was a pleasure to be your guests.All the best from Kevin,Angie and Pickles...and yes missing the resident Robin.

Dryden/Rhodes family had a fantastic holiday. So well equipped and the owners are amazing. The log burner was well used. The weather was good for February, we can't wait to book again.

Beautiful place .. wonderful scenery ... and a magnificent cottage/house. Pet friendly, people friendly .. couldn't ask for any more ... exceptional.
