Living in Central London has its perks. One of them is stumbling onto high profile events without even trying. It was great seeing preparations for Bafta's and celebrities arriving to this celebration of what the movie industry has to offer. Later in the evening, I enjoyed watching the Bafta's ceremony. I agree with the need for greater #diversity, #equality and #opportunities for people of different ethnicities, but it has been a great starter of a conversation which would hopefully lead to permanent changes within #society. This horrendous breach of human rights and disrespect for human dignity at Irish airports must be stopped. I cannot believe this procedure of deportations and detentions is still allowed to continue till this day. I don't want to even think how this situation will be exacerbated by Brexit.

Language always evolves to express societal changes.

Today, I am making the most of the time between projects, reading an interior design book, having matcha tea and simply chilling. For a freelance translator, regardless of their working languages, there are spells of intense effort, followed by quiet periods. It is a real art to be able to constructively use the quiet time to unwind, focus on self development or maybe look at new professional avenues, without worrying about the future and losing heart. I have to admit, that I am getting better at it, but I am still not 100% there.
