Set on a beautiful stretch of the Thames in Caversham, Better Boating offers a wide variety of marine services including permanent and temporary moorings, maintenance, repairs & restoration, boatyard facilities with 20 tonne craning and workshops

MOORINGS
At Better Boating, we have secure permanent and temporary moorings on our beautiful mid Thames location in Caversham, just outside Reading

We have facilities for cruisers, narrow boats and wide beams

We have a secure gated car park and provide winter hard standing for all permanent berths

CURIO SHOP
Our Curio Shop and Chandlery is open daily from 08: 30 until 18: 00

MAINTENANCE
Better Boating undertake minor reconditions through to full restorations

We offer engineering services, antifouling and blacking

CRANING
At Better Boating, we can crane up to 20 tonnes (Narrow boats up to 65')

We have access for low loaders / articulated vehicles and boat transportation can be arranged

Hard standing available

Lift and hold for survey / prop fouling etc

Engine removal

Fully insured

We are in a central position on the River Thames with easy access to the Kennet & Avon Canal

WORKSHOPS
We have 2 workshop units: -

Unit 1 - 46' x 25' x 20'
Unit 2 - 50' x 12' x 12'

Available for short or long term boat restoration projects
Insulated with power & water
