Betty & Flo is a small, family run business making handmade clothes, all of which are hardwearing for imaginative & exploratory play in the outside world. Our clothes are available to buy ready made or can be custom made in your choice of fabric & size.

Betty and Flo was created as we felt there was a lack of hardwearing, affordable, well made clothing that was more traditional and represented childhood. Various educationists and authors have formed our ideas on childhood imagination and play. Combined we have worked in education for 30 years and had a strong desire to create a business which embraces children's need for play. We feel it is important to return to basics and move away from the technology and fast moving world in which we live. Children need to be allowed time out to be children and to enjoy a simpler life which requires imagination and develops a sense of awareness for nature and the beauty of the natural world. Our clothes are designed with little explorers, bug hunters, pond dippers, tree climbers in mind as well as parties, weddings and special occasions.
