Betty Chappelle Dance Centre Description
The Betty Chappelle Dance Centre have been nurturing and developing young people's potential for many years. We not only deliver quality in performance but ensure that each of our pupils gets the most out of their experience by building life skills and confidence while having a lot of fun and meeting new friends.
Some of our students see dance simply as an enhancement to their lives, others have pursued careers in performance arts and progressed to become professional dancers, but whatever their ambitions or ability, we strive to teach to professional standards.
All our fully qualified staff are highly experienced teaching professionals whose performing careers have spanned West End shows, UK and World tours, commercial pop videos, Film and Television. All hold qualifications with the International Dance Teachers Association.
We offer training for all ages and levels in the major subjects of Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Street Jazz, Musical Theatre, Gymnastics and Teacher training and while exams are not compulsory, I. D. T. A examinations are available to students and do help to monitor progress and maintain the high standards in our classes.
All of our students are given the opportunity to participate in shows where their performance and stage craft skills can be developed.

One of our lovely senior girls, Leia, is organising a quiz and curry night to raise funds for Penistone Scouts to go to the World Jamboree. All details are on the photo if anyone is free Saturday 18th May and can support her (whilst having a brilliant night out!)
Last night we had an amazing surprise visit from our very own Danny Nattrass. Danny has spent the last 3 years working hard at Arts educational theatre school in London and last night He popped in to tell us the amazing news! Straight out of theatre school Danny will be playing the part of Pepper in the west end musical production of Mamma Mia!! This is proof that Danny’s hard work, dedication, passion and determination has given him his dream! We couldn’t be prouder and we wish him all the luck in the world and we can’t wait to come and see him fly high in this amazing show! Proud teacher moment is an understatement! Well done Danny and we can’t wait to see what the future brings, we have no doubt it will shine bright!
Huge congratulations to our pupils who competed at the British Dance Performers Championship today. ⭐ Felix and Milo danced fantastically in every section. ⭐ Rose made the finals in all three genres. ⭐ Tehya made the final in Modern + semis in the other 2 sections. ⭐ Maggie made the semi final in Tap, the final in Ballet and came SECOND in Modern!... ⭐ Leia made the Tap semi final. ⭐ Bobbie came THIRD in Modern and FIRST in Tap! Absolutely fantastic achievements all round and we're so proud of all of them X

NEW ADULT JAZZ FITNESS CLASSES!!!
Grab a friend and get fit for summer!
Starting on Thursday the 9th of May, adult dance fitness classes will be held from 7:15-8:00pm at the Wakefield studio.
... This is a fun way, with good music, for anyone with or without dancing experience to get fit! The sessions will be focussed on street dance and jazz technique while looking at muscle tone, flexibility and stamina, so get ready to build up a good sweat.

Today we have been dancing, springing and bouncing into our Easter holidays. 😍 In Musical Theatre we're working on 'I Have a Voice' which was an anti-bullying song. It's about inner strength so today we made posters to use during the song to show just that 😍
Easter holidays have begun and we had a great first day at our Easter camp spectacular today. We still have spaces available for next Monday’s camp which will be Easter and gymnastics themed and we crafted away at bonnets today but next week we will be decorating our very own tote bags to collect all our eggs in. We really did enjoy our day and all the kids were amazing. Happy first Easter holiday day everyone 😁😁
