Fantastic pub, amazing staff. The beer & food was so good. They made us feel so welcome
Good selection of beer. Reasonably priced quality food. Very cosy pub with it's own car park. Large enough that you can always find a space out of the way if you prefer a quiet drink.
Check in staff was unfriendly. Wasn't offered any help with my bags despite obviously struggling. A visitor helped in the end. Room wasn't as described. Extremely small, very little storage space. Dirty room, dust from weeks ago. I was booked in for 14 nights, left after 9 as I couldn't stand the dirt, laziness of staff and sloppy breakfast waitressing anymore. Food was either barely cooked or burnt, had to complain 7 nights out of 9 that room was dirty, bed not made, bathroom was a disgrace as hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Do not stay here. Staff don't care, overpriced, unfriendly and with very poor wifi too.
I am making an official complaint too.
Nice cream teas. Dinner was basic pub fare, nice size portions and tasty but nothing extraordinary. Good prices for food and beer. Worth a visit
A really lovely old pub. Worth a visit. Nice food. Great views. Good garden.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very tasty carvery and a very nice lemon cheesecake which was included in the price. Good value for money meal.
Good Carvery.
Nice little campsite attached, last time I visited
Fantastic food at an just out of town location, 2 pool tables, great for walkers, travellers (also just off the A30) and for those who just dont want to have to wash up tonight.
Went for a meal in the afternoon. Was told no food until 6pm. Disappointed but had a dr8nk at the bar anyway. Quiet relaxed feel to the place.
