You all seemed to like the arrow head pasties so this week our butchers have hand crafted some mini tomato light bites. Simply a rich tomato flavoured sausage meat stuffed with some delicious puff pastry.
Ideal as the centre point of a meal, a tasty compliment to a main or simply something to nibble on for those nice little get togethers.
... Cook at 180 degrees for 20 minutes for perfect results.

Chicken meatloaf anyone? A blend of piri piri chicken filled with a complimenting chimichurri sauce and lush amount of cheddar cheese. All this finished with lashings of fresh free range dry cured streaky bacon wrapped all around the loaf.
Dead easy to cook, simply 180 degrees for 20 minutes for every pound in weight you purchase! A great family meal that can even be eaten cold at a later date!
Any questions then just ask our friendly butchers, they love to chat!

We visited for the 1st time today and had lunch in the cafe, amazing food and very friendly staff. The lady even adapted the specials menu to suit our children...the portions were that big we struggled to eat it all, so the lady packed it up for us to bring home. We will definitely return and recommend. Thank you for an enjoyable visit .

User

We recently visited for the first time in a long time. Really impressed by the butchers. Bought sausages, which were fantastic and turkey legs (frozen), which, tasted amazing. Haven’t been to the cafe yet, as it was getting close to closing time but plan to return soon - I’m looking forward to trying the breakfast! We bought a dozen of the ‘unloved’ eggs - the egg equivalent to wonky veg! Can’t remember what we paid but they were brilliant value. Will be back soon.

We have been for a couple of events and it's been lovely the staff are great and the whole place is so very well organised our 2 year old son is obsessed. Thank you all so much

User

We had our daughters 7th birthday party here and they loved every minute of it. We fed the Hens and collected eggs, fed the Sheep and Goats. I don't just mean over the fence. We actually got inside the field with the animals. Really good and interactive. We saw the Llama and they even arranged for our daughter to bottle feed one of the lambs. The children were served lovely wholesome homemade food finished off with delicious ice cream. A super place to entertain 13 seven year olds. 5 star. Emma, thank you, you were great. x

User

We decided to take advantage of the August £20 Butchers Tray....... all I can say is wow!! The sausages were beautiful, no fat or gristle. We had the mince in a lasagne on Thursday and tonight 2 of the chicken breasts!! Outstanding value, fantastic quality and not full of water or nasties!!

Do we have until Thurs for another? Thinking I may stock up the freezer!!!!??

User

Visited with 3 friends on our way back to Cornwall. Excellent breakfast and great coffee. Wish we lived nearer!

User

Visited at the weekend and went to the cafe. The full English breakfast is fabulous and such good value. The kids had cake & flapjacks, my hard to please audience loved them! The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help, even though it was busy! Will definitely go back and would recommend to all my friends.

User

Took my toddler daughter today, she loved it! Sand pit in the play area is amazing! Loved feeding the animals, fab shop! Lovely friendly serving staff, a lovely afternoon!!

User

I`ve been visiting Betty`s farm shop regularly for the last 3 years and it gets better and better: The butchery is excellent, the range of high quality products on the shelves continues to increase, Betty`s eggs have always been first class and when I visited yesterday was told they have a new range of bread products from a supplier in Ashbourne, so I bought a Farmhouse loaf, which was superb. I would urge anyone who appreciates good food to visit Betty`s. . . . I`m certainly glad I did.

User

Great day out with the kids. Feeding & holding the animals, play park and lunch. Also picking 6 fresh eggs to take home. Alice did a lot of the activities, she's a lovely young lady with great knowledge of the animals.

Just don't wear flip flops to see the chickens, they like to peck toes

User

First visit today and bought the June special meat offer! Lovely staff, looking forward to trying the meat

User

Betty's pies are awesome, best pies in the world. Yum!!

User

We love dropping in here. Lovely little play area for the kids. It holds a few small events that are ok to pop into for a couple of hours. The egg collecting but for The kids is a bit of a let down as all you are doing is getting them off a track and boxing them. With a little thought the staff could hide some around the farm to find...would be more interesting in my opinion. And £2 for 6 eggs when I get 30 in the shop for £3.50! The shop is brilliant with some lovely foody treats. I love supporting local businesses though. I often drop in on the way home to pick up some more treats. Worth visiting

User

Really liked it, farm shop has a great choice, good local produce. Feel the cafe needs a few more staff. They looked a little over run with customers but we're lovely and the food was very nice.

User

Great breakfast and our wee lass had great fun in the play area and feeding the hens

User

We visited for the first time today. Went over to the farm shop only to be told that the cafe was closed due to the people being on holiday. They said they put a notice on Facebook which i am yet to find stating this. They also failed to put something on their website. A very disappointed two and a half year old as she couldn't get her hot chocolate.

User

This was our second visit to yourselves . The first time to buy 3 of your chickens after attending one of your courses. On this occasion the staff were wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful, answering our every question. Today, we came and spent quite a lot in your lovely shop where the 2 ladies were far from happy to be serving us and couldn't even muster a smile. After playing in the park for a while we popped back into the shop to buy some chocolate where your staff member felt the need to shake her head behind my back because I dared to ask if they were still open. Since returning home we have found there are no cooking instructions on any of the food we bought so fingers crossed I guess right. Love the shop and animals but customer service was definitely lacking today

User

So we turned up to the car park and saw a shop to the left and to the right a cafe and a field of chickens and across from there a play centre type thing. Me and the husband were Very confused as to where we got animal food from? Where were we allowed to take our son to see the animals? There was a gate but we had no idea if we were allowed in or not. We brought some beautiful jam and eggs but felt silly even asking how we go about walking around. More signs please or something to indicate doo's and don't and directions. X
